  1. When I started USPSA I shot a G34 and OAL was 1.135 and I tried shooting out my Stock II and they wouldn't. I went down to 1.125 and never had problem. That's just me though but I remember that length was too long for mine and I wanted a load to shoot out both my 34 and stock II
  2. I have shot Bayous except for my open gun exclusively in my Tanfos and I have shot my Stock II a few times with prolly 1500-2500 rounds thru it between cleaning and it's never had a feeding issue. Maybe it's just my Stock II but that thing runs no matter how dirty it is. I don't know about if your brass being dirty enough to cause enough friction to have feeding issues. What OAL are you running?
  3. I'd like to trade the ambi safeties from my Stock III for the extended single sided safety from a Limited Pro I got the extended silver safety off my Limited. I thought was single but it's an ambi but if you could use it then I'm game
  4. I know a few shooters who shoot .40 minor out of their Stock II's and love it. With the right load it's soft but I liked 9mm after all said and done better.
  5. Yea, when I had it out today I polished up that part to smooth it out and I made sure feed ramp was smooth, also polished extractor and the end of the rib on slide. It was a rainout match today so good excuse to hit some points that other members have suggested. I think when I go next Saturday to practice that it'll run smoother.....fingers crossed, lol
  6. The 2 wing interrupter from LRA made the trigger pull rough and heavy. I actually just put one in a couple hours ago and my DA feels much better and SA. I polished it well along with the places it hits the trigger bar. I don't know. Every Tanfo is different and I've swapped parts in between all mine before and get different results most all the time.
  7. Yea, I'm hoping to see the feeding issue decrease as I shoot it more and stop in another 500 rounds. Yesterday wasn't quite as bad as the week before but still no way I'd shoot a match with it right now. I took it apart today and hit a few points I didn't the first time polishing and changed the interruptor. So we'll see and no worries until another 400-500 rounds;-)
  8. No, it's much tighter than my Stock II. My first II and Limited feel like they're on ball bearings. They both are silky smooth but I do remember when I first got my Limited it was almost a pain to rack but I figured just shooting major loads broke it in good. My II has prolly 10K rounds give or take. I've only polished the sides of the hammer. I'm gonna try that
  9. Zach from LRA said the 2-wing is for when installing a one-piece sear. I don't know exactly why but he's much more knowledgeable than I am. He just answered a question similar to this in the Tanfo Universe FB group
  10. Come to find out I did have a short recoil spring in my III, not a long slide one. I was having these FTF before changing the spring but thanks for pointing that out as at least now I got a proper one installed
  11. Thanks, I got my parts straight now, sorry bout that
  12. My Stock II that I used to have in .40 shot soft in minor for production. Converting the trigger from SAO to DA/SA is not a pain at all. The Stock III in chambered in .40 does well too. It's production legal and I used it as a backup limited gun and the extra weight at the front helped with recoil running major loads
  13. Oh, so it's a roll pin. Also Adam, I read or have been told about polishing the breech face. Is where I'm pointing with this punch in the pics where you wanna polish?
  14. Hmmmmmm, I know I'm using the long guide rod. I specifically ordered the long slide. I will have to check the length of the recoil spring. That may be part of the issue but I'm hopeful that with the correct recoil spring then it's just a matter of breaking the gun in some more.
  15. This will be a dumb question coming from someone who owns 7 Tanfos but I've never had to do anything regarding this matter. How exactly does one remove and reinstall the extractor on a Stock III? I know there is a small hole on top of the slide. Does it take an Allen wrench? As far as polishing it, do you simply just polish (not remove material) the hook? Thanks, Gump
  16. Wolff recoil springs, I honestly didn't know they had two different kinds
  17. Maybe your right. My load ran in both my stock II's clean or dirty. I'll give it another 500 rounds or so and then if still having issues I'll trade it in for a Hi-Point and shoot Production with that kinda bad mamma jamma
  18. So I went today and put another 200-250 rounds thru my Stock III and the feeding issue maybe slightly better but still getting 4-5 per mag not feeding. I put a 10# new recoil spring in, I shortened my OAL from 1.125 which I've used in Stock II and never had feeding issues to 1.115, and I increased my crimp a little. All these rounds passed the Hundo case gauge. Any ideas what else I should try or be looking at to diagnose the issue? I polished the feed ramp as well. Crazy thing is I can eject a round that didn't chamber, put it back in the mag on top and then it'll chamber and fire the second time usually. What gives????
  19. Send me the perms link or post it in there. Anything EAA/Tanfo related is more than welcome in the group. The more the merrier and the more content the better it'll be. And if you join please feel free to add friends and I'll add them to the group. If you offer Tanfo services feel free to post it up. As long as it's got something related to Tanfos I'm happy to see it posted Gump
  20. To all my peeps here on Enos. I started a Tanfo group on FB to discuss Tanfo related stuff. Feel free to come join the discussion over there if you'd like. http://www.facebook.com/groups/TanfoglioUniverse
  21. Yes, the Tanfo forum is the best their is and the amount of knowledge on here is gargantuan. I just myself came to the conclusion after talking with a GM that what could I accomplish live fire practice in the combined hours spent taking my gun apart, changing this, taking that out, putting this in, etc and for a few ounces on trigger. Now of course shooting one of these bone stock would be hard to do and to get full potential out of the gun it needs some TLC. Hell, now I'm wanting a CGW disco since both weekend matches of mine look to be getting rained out, lol. Always dry-fire and reloading to do though.
  22. I tend to agree with you. I haven't put a CGW in any of mine but looking at the vids it looks like it would definitely make the trigger in my Tanfos better. Last year if I would have spent the same amount of time practicing that I did chasing a lighter or better trigger through all the little tweaking here and there I'd prolly be much better. Again by no means am I saying that the CGW not worth the time and money, I just realized that learning to shoot better with what I have would have been better time spent. But with that said I gotta start a trigger job and upgrades all over again with a Stock III coming, lol:-)
  23. Anyone have an extra ambi-safety they don't need. I am looking for one and will buy it or if you need other parts I may have something you need for a trade. Thanks Gump
  24. Does anyone have any factory ambi safeties that they aren't using and would wanna part with?
