Once you go open there’s no looking back! I don’t believe you need a back up, most builders today have very reliable machines, that being said it will have hiccups, it will malfunction. It’s a right of passage! I had a gun for 7 months give me fits, never could run a complete match, blah blah blah. But stick with it find a load, and boom one day it will all be right with the open gods! Good luck may the force be with you

Just a question ? Just shoot 9 mm through the 38s barrel. I do all the time, load long, 1.17 easy as that , but if ya wana get rid that 38 v12lemme know

A lot has to do with sear and hammer engagement, the hooks especially. If you know what your looking for and what to polish it can be achieved. Look here and search for threads or you tube videos, honestly if you wanted that perfect trigger I would send to Joe at Patriot Defense !! He’s a master

I will admit that open Glock looks pretty damn good! But seen many of them fail under competition. Sucks because the functionality of a Glock goes out the window when they are heavily modified.

Pull striker assembly from both guns and look at firing pins! I have 2 of these as well both are complete different one runs cci the other won’t. Clean and lightly oil pin and striker assembly check slide where striker goes through breechface. I run 11 lb spring 5 lb Glock striker in both guns. Also check for high primers if you’d reloading. Hope this helps if not call Canik ask for new striker assembly they are very good on replacing parts and customer service

Correct! I bought a “slightly used” open gun and it wouldn’t run, 6 months later had to replace everything internally, and send off to get tuned!!!! Should have bought new reputable but I went cheap route ! The sps from what I hear is a decent firearm, this one is up in the air.??

9mm has a short life span at major, I was buying new brass more often for 9mm than for 38 sc, even with losing up to 40 percent at matches. 38 sounds more expensive but when you can reload it 20 times it saves quite a few bucks. It’s a ford Chevy debate honestly.

Canik all day long, what issues are you having with it? With freedom smith trigger upgrade and baseplates it can hang with any CO gun on the market for half the price . If you want pretty get a stock 1 with optic cut

I run a lee loadmaster press with same dies, don’t even run a factory crimp as the seating die is also a crimp die built in one. Nevwr had an issue with to much flare, but I’m not using a fancy Dillion either, just a pile o lee. ( by the way I loaded the first 50 rounds for his gun....?. Maybe it’s the loose but behind the press ?????

Negative, I clipped 1 coil off a k40 and can stuff 22 she’s a bitch to seat during a reload ! Had it fall out many times so I stick to 21
