Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Thanks, Brian! I was thinking of trying that. I am going to get some. People are raving about it and it’s inexpensive compared to VV.
  2. I ended up using Silhouette. I figured I would try it because I used it in my 9 mm until it became scarce. Now it is available. But I think the 3n37 is a great idea......... I don't know why I never thought of that........:-(
  3. Another question on the battery pack. It says clearly on it do not overcharge. Does anyone have e any idea how long you are supposed to charge it; 12 hours seem reasonable???
  4. I am looking for a comparable powder to vv3n38 since it is virtually impossible to get right now in the states. Anyone have any suggestions???
  5. Having a hard time getting VV 3n38 in the United States. It is my usual powder of choice for my 38 SuperComp major load. What is everyone else using? What is comparable, as clean and provides as much gas and will fit in the case and leave a little space? I know I’m asking a lot!
  6. I was afraid of that. I cleaning the comp but still doing the same after rapid fire..... Ugh! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm shooting a 38 super comp; great gun maker and I have 55,000 rounds through the gun. When it gets hot from rapid fire, it is key holing. Do you guys think my barrel is shot?? I'm shooting Hornady HAPs .... Good bullet; straight wall case so crimp isn't an issue. My load has been the same for all 55,000 rounds.
  8. Thanks, Guys! I am going to try those double taps taking my finger completely off the trigger between and I will try turning the dot off and shooting into the barm. I have done the shooting into the berm before and it did seem fast as ***! I am going to go back to that and the Ben Stoeger drill at 7, 12 and 15 feet. Let me know if anyone has any other suggestions. The gun will do it. It's definitely me. It's not the ammo and not the gun; 170 PF 38 super comp.
  9. Rnlinebacker, Yes, the dot does leave the glass. Tighter grip??? And I like the idea of "not how fast you pull the trigger, but how quickly you release it." I'm going to the range today and I am going to concentrate on that a little more than the actual trigger pull. I find I am faster if I have just the very tip of my finger on the trigger.
  10. Bill Drills.......... Today: 1.12 draw, .22,.25, .23, .24, 22 1.39 reload .22, .19, .22, .23, .23, .24. That's pretty average; sometimes I get the draw down to 1. or even less. Sometimes I get splits around .25, but never over that and usually around .23, .22. I CANNOT seem to get those lightening splits you guys get no matter how hard I try. I am not sure what else I can do. Do you have any suggestions?
  11. Does anyone have any practice drills other than Bill Drills to decrease split times or any tips in that regard??
  12. Has anyone ever experienced misfeeds with perfect ammo on only the last two to four rounds left in the bottom of an Infinity mag with an Infinity gun?? Brand-new mags and springs and followers...... about 1,000 rounds through each at the most. There are 12 mags all together. Please do not respond that it has anything to do with the ammo.......... Just had the extractor tuned and it appears to be working properly. I think it's the mags. It does it with both Gram followers and springs and Infinity followers and springs and it is very hit and miss. The only constant is that it is always at the bottom of the mag. I have shot two large matches recently and I feel like I'm shooting carry optics and having to count and use only 21 or 23....24 of the bullets in the mag for it to function reliably.
  13. I didn't see any responses to the extended mag release question............ Does anyone know of one for a JP GMR-13????
  14. I'm not sure if it's a PT grip or not. It's in Infinity Firearm. That is very interesting, though, that you had the least engagement with the 155 mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
