  1. Has anyone here demoed the upcoming PDI? I’m curious on how it feels reset wise compared to the current offerings (24 and Eclipse).
  2. Thanks. I’ll be testing some loads this weekend on an MPX barrel. I’ll compare notes. I’m using Berrys 115gr and Titegroup.
  3. What’s the velocity on the load?
  4. Load development and getting buffer dialed in.
  5. I recently bought the ULW and shot it at one match. It definitely has to be “tuned” for a lack of better words on my end. Dot moved too much for me. I wish Taccom would offer porting service for the shroud. Every bit helps I guess. With that said I’m experimenting with an MBX Ultralight right now. My goal is to run factory ammo.
  6. Thanks. Might be making the switch very soon. I’ll be sure to send you a PM.
  7. Thanks for the info. If I can’t get a local shop to cut the shroud on my Taccom ULW I’ll switch it to the JP.
  8. I have two. Timney PCC. It’s a little “slow” for me and have sporadic failures to reset. What’s currently in my PCC is a Triggertech Diamond AR. Nice and fast. Word of caution on the Diamond AR. I had to adjust the pull weight to at least 2.5 pounds. Seemed like anything below that would slam fire. I’m using a JP bolt..
  9. Just wanted to know if the “brake” on the end of the shroud actually works or is just for show? I can reload for PCC but want to stick with factory 115gr ammo if possible. Just easier to order in bulk and be done.
  10. Yup generally 1x3 measured from the muzzle to the end of the comp or brake.
  11. Replying to this since it’s still relevant early 2020. My “AE” DPP began mysteriously shutting off during live fire. Sure enough the battery contact slid to the rear of the circuit board similar to the ones pictured on this thread. I just got an email back from Leupold stating that it will take 7 WEEKS for repairs. With a wait that long, I hope they truly have a fix for it. I will update once I get it back. Edited to add: The DPP was mounted on a Glock 19 MOS.
  12. I have a 21” M2 and feed it Remington Gun Club 1145 FPS shells.
  13. For those using the buffer, did you remove the buffer retaining pin or left it intact?
  14. Josh Tarrant did a quick unboxing/first look on his Instagram story. Glad to see they loosened up the zoom ring. Street pricing will be $1999.
  15. I ordered one in 1.9. WOA is having a holiday sale on them. I’ll report back once installed with some non-scientific test results in case anyone else was curious as well.
  16. So with the original Taccom buffer, once it locked back I gave it another half turn of the gas adjustment. On the new buffer, I went one full turn from where it was already set. Nothing scientific of course. Once it was set for the new buffer, I didn't change the gas switching buffers back and forth. I don't think the little adjustment of the gas going back and forth would have made much of a difference.TBH I did not notice anything dramatic or at least said to myself WOW. What a difference. I would have taken notice. Smoother and less bounce? Couldn't tell you or rather I wasn't looking for it. In short, my testing wasn't super scientific. Both buffers work just fine in my particular setup. As they say, YMMV..
  17. I did a search and ran across a few posts about them but nothing recent or pertaining to the 1.9 pound version specifically. I know weight is super personal but I was wondering about the 1.9 and the ability to maintain its accuracy after getting heated. We have a club series starting back up in January at my home range and for sure we will be shooting far. The range is up to 1000 yards. Obviously we won’t be shooting that far but I have a feeling at max 600.
  18. Let me start off my saying that I'm not a sponsored shooter. I am not endorsed by anyone. The Taccom 223 Three Stage Recoil System was purchased at full price and done out of sheer curiosity. I like new and shiny things. The setup: Stretch barrel intermediate gas with an adjustable gas block, LW BCG, Taccom Carbine Recoil System buffer, reduced power buffer spring, Ultradyne Apollo S, brake, Federal 55gr FMJ My match rifle has been reliable and very soft shooting. There is really no perceived "thump" on the shoulder. I swapped in the new buffer today and re-tuned the gas block for the same ammo I always use at matches. I increased the gas one full turn once the bolt started to lock back to give it a bit more juice. I fired off two full mags at varying cadence to get a sense of how the impulse felt and to check if there were any cycling issues. I then swapped back in the two piece buffer that I had no issues with. To be honest I could NOT feel a perceived difference in recoil between the two. If it was there I could not tell. Here are the buffer weights if you're curious. My postal scale is not certified but it is accurate. An H2 buffer is known to be 4.6 oz. I weighed an H2 and it's right on the money at 4.6 oz. The two piece Taccom buffer weighs 1.1 oz. The new three stage buffer is 1.9 oz. Is this new system worth $49.95? If you already have a working and reliable setup then save your money and buy more ammo. If you're starting fresh, wouldn't hurt..
  19. Got my buffer in today. Test and tune in the AM and will run it at a club match on Saturday. I’ll update with my thoughts.
  20. You can always chronograph your intended match ammo and plug in the numbers on StrelokPro. It’ll show you your holdovers on the reticle screen.

    Reloading question

I load 135gr RN SNS bullets at 1.11” OAL for my X5 Legion. Works fine out of the stock barrel and Barsto. Zero issues.
  22. Is their stronger spring something they addressed or did you just ask?
  23. Tell your friends over at MOA to make more. I even asked them if I could send my trigger group in. No response..
  24. I use a closed tine Warcomp on my work 11.5” BCM SBR. No issues with it as it does what I want. Suppresses flash well and I don’t feel any excessive downward force.
  25. Totally forgot the new lifter has the doohickey that the plunger presses against to keep it lifted.
