Got mine in today and I already like what I see. I have bad astigmatism and believe it or not the dot on the Alpha 3 is round-ish compared to other dots I have used to my eyes. I’m amazed because the dot is 8 MOA. I took a gamble with the size and I’m glad I went with it. Now I have to wait for my open gun to be finished.

I’m getting into minor open for 3 gun and haven’t loaded 9mm 124gr plated bullets with Sport Pistol above 135pf with my Limited gun. I will be getting a 2 port comp w/ barrel (no popple holes) fitted on my 2011. Has anyone pushed 124gr bullets with Sport Pistol safely in the 140-145PF or maybe to the 150PF range? Looks like WAC and HS-6 are readily available and can alway try some of that.

I'm pretty sure a lot of those bidders are fake by the dealer and/or associates to drive the price up. Just my humble opinion of course..

How does the old adage go? It's the Indian and not the arrow.. I'm sure you can give Max Michel a Hi-Point and he'll mop the competition with it. To go with what people have already mentioned, a good handload will be beneficial as well. Why fight a stout load (recoil) if you don't have to? I shoot 133PF and it feels almost like cheating from the Legion.

I got my DPP back from warranty in March of this year. I sent it in because it flickered on/off while shooting (slide mounted) and eventually shut itself off. The culprit was the way Leupold secured the battery contact to the circuit board. It was literally held into place by a piece of clear tape. The recoil caused the battery contact to shift over time and pull the tape away from the circuit board. Anyway the repair came back with the similar tape set up for the circuit board and battery contact. I hope the tape has better adhesive this time or eventually it'll happen again.

Brazos has a new mount with a blast shield that almost perfectly fits the 3Max with only a wee bit of breathing room in front of it before it hits the shield. If they, A3 and 3Max, are the same length more or less, I'll be fine.

Can anyone tell me if the Alpha 3's footprint is identical or very similar to the Romeo3Max? I know the Alpha 3 is a little longer length wise than the RTS2 but is it longer than the Romeo or exactly the same as it?

Just picked up a VR80. I apologize for not browsing all 65 pages but are certain AR parts compatible with the VR80? I would like to swap out the safety selector to a short throw one.

I too shot the TX3G and on that Thursday I walked to stages late afternoon and used my Nikon Black RangeX 4K. I hit all the targets just fine and was within a few yards of everyone else that lasered at the same time. Current pricing puts the model right at $450. I don't have experience with anything else. It fit my budget at the time I bought it over a year ago. But holy hell at Stage 6 where all the targets were clustered on the hill and trees. I timed out on that stage. My goal next time is to mount a pair of binos next to the range finder on a plate and carry it around on a tripod. I took notes on my phone and should have brought a pen and notepad to sketch the targets out.

Let us know how the reset feels compared to the 24C/Comp/Eclipse trigger. I might end up preordering from Brownells so I can send it back if it blows.

Picked up my M2 today from Briley after getting some stuff done to it to round out the mods (match trigger, latch, and rear sight). Initial impressions.. It feels very similar to the polished and tweaked factory latch. Quad loads at speed still remains smooth and fast. With the articulating latch it should be always consistent and shouldn’t lose tension over time.

Finally got my DPP back after a month. No change in design. Hope the tape works this time.

My DPP is on its way back to me. I should have it Tuesday. I’ll update and will post a picture of what the board looks like. Mine has been at Leupold since Feb 7.

I have some 115 jhp rn v2 coming in from Everglades this week. I’ll work up a load around low to mid 3’s of Titegroup. What are you guys doing about cleaning the brake? After yesterday’s range session the brake is caked with carbon. Am I not supposed to use fast burning powders with coated bullets?

Read the post on here about the MBX barrel not being able to group but decided to get one anyway. I figured enough time had passed. I picked up the last one Shooters Connection had in stock. I wanted to build a longer barreled PCC to compliment the upper I have with a Taccom ULW barrel. I got the upper assembled last night and went to the range this morning to do a little shooting. It’s still work in progress but I rough zeroed the upper in at 25 yards with Federal 115gr bulk for now. I’m going to load develop on the next trip and will fine tune later. Avg vel Federal 115 was 1308 FPS. Avg vel using my match pistol hand loads 966 FPS (1.15” OAL, blue bullets 147gr, 3.0 Titegroup) Order of pictures: -Hold over target with rough 25y zero using match pistol ammo through the MBX barrel -Two 5 shot groups at 25 yards with Federal 115gr to test accuracy -Factory test group -The setup.. the stock was supported with shoulder pressure. I’ll use a bench rest next time. ps I’m uploading from my phone so if the picture order is messed up I’m sure you can figure it out.
