Don't be scared to push it a little. 172-174 PF seems to be really nice with this powder. Now if I could only find more AA7.

Just to add. I'm shooting a fullsize 9, no holes, and a brazos thundercomp 2.

I currently use 9.4gr of AA7 with a MG 124JHP @ 1.165. I'm pretty sure it's in the 174PF range. The old lot I had took 9.9gr of powder. This stuff is dirty but shoots great. I would try 9.0gr @ 1.165-1.168 with a 124 JHP and see where you need/want to go from there.

I'm still on the cheap spray gun from cerakote. I used metal polish to lap the needle and tip together. I was too lazy to make a oven so I bought a electric smoker. The main things to keep in mind are prep, clean dry air, and run the mixed cerakote through a filter. Also, the bigger the oven the better. You want to keep the parts away from the heating element.

If you follow the cerakote instructions it's not too bad. The main part is the prep work. The biggest issue is the start up costs involved. If you're only going to spray one or two barrels then just pay somebody to do it. There is a learning curve with the spraying part because most people tend to coat it too thick. All that being said, I manage to get by with the bare essentials and have produced some great work.

3M 5200 should hold the spacers in.

Well in that case, i would shoot the 9x23 What powders are you thinking of trying? I would be interested in hearing the difference you notice over 9 Major. Are you shooting the cheely comp with a holes in the barrel?

Why even bother with 9x23? What are you shooting now?

Go to powder valley now and buy a couple 8lb jugs of HS-6. You will be good to go for a while and HS-6 is a great 9 Major powder.

Try to find a friend or someone willing to help you out. What kind of gun are you loading 9 major for?

The Quinn 3 mount is made for 6-40 screws.

I had the SJC mount. It wasn't the easiest to install but it seemed very solid.

The new spring you put in should have been cut down on a stroked gun. Your spring was just too long. I believe Shay uses a commander length reverse plug on the stroked guns.

Is there any plans on other finishes besides the hard chrome/ Ti?

What Configuration is that 38 Super? I like the plain look of that one.

I just got my 170 today. Held 30 9mm on the first try. These mags seem to be well thought out. As long as they run I don't see a reason to buy the other mags anymore.

At least A. I shoot about 1-2 match a month, have only has two practice sessions and easily made A as my first classification.

From the sounds of it, The Mr. Bullet Feeder powder funnel will do everything the M die will.

What did you do, get a hand me down instead of a new one from Dave?

I'm betting they are. Look at the rear of the comp. Not much material for there to be threads.
