I would be more interested in "Outlaw 3-Gun style" 2-gun. USCA seems a little "tactical" for me. I feel like "gun games" are just games and any attempt to employ tactically sound methods doesn't stand up to a timer as a judge. (It stands up to someone shooting at you with simmunitions/airsoft/paintball/etc) out law is more tactical we have been shooting out law since the mid 90's in n. carolina haul all ur gear for the day rifle and pistol day 1 shotgun and pistol day 2 ammo 'water food clothes meds etc all day and late into the nite. its as tactical as u can get. most of the places we shoot are not even on the map some are off base military ranges. invitation only no gamey shit. just real world guys and gear a ball but was a big factor in the 3 gun evolution no uspsa or idpa crap ur work gear jjw

wasnt the choke tho i use lt mod for most shell was too lite. 2 shells is all i carry 3-1/8 #8's for clay and lite stuff 31/4 dr 1oz of 7's for all else never saw a late it wouldnt take down we has similar at rock castle 2 yrs ago saw a guy nail it with some kind of lite load wiggled but no go my stuff blew it back about 1 foot. it was a small thing like u describe. all started spinning chokes. my squad mooched a ton of them from me. after they saw the 1st 2 guys wiggle them i never changed. sledom the choke almost always the shot. jjw

+1 for the storm. never had a failure with facotry ammo. can is very quiet. baretta makes 30 rd fsc. mags, 20's also. can do any better. also can put the mag realease on either side u want to. bolt release is 2nd to none. 147 hornady is 1/2" accurate at 25 yds 1" at 50. jjw

i can say i have never seen 1 work for over 50 rds. we are a training & security company. we used to train civies after 9/11. saw a bunch come thru. we banned them early on. i am a 9mm carbine junky. i can say i have owned every one ever made but a high point. (i have some scruples). sold my last FACTORY mp-5 last year. buy a baretta storm in 9mm. factory 92 - mags. 30 rds factory available. nothing not to like. red dot can 147gr quietest 9mm i ever owned INCLUDING 2 factory mp-5's./same can 1/2" at 25 yds. has never f.t.f. in over 2,000 rds ergonomics are great bolt release is under rhight thumb' mag release is movable. great piece of kit.. wife loves it lt wt. had massive back surgery few years back. could not shoot 11" rem - 870. recoil u know. smart man said: get out the storm aimpoint 10,00 hr model light can lay by bed. still there 5 yrs later. no i dont work for baretta. world famous instructor said the only reason they are not the worst company is because h&k is in this business also.

i shoot 3-gun when ever i can. love it but not around much. carolina tacticlal. rockcastle. 2 others not open to public. have shot d.d. bbls for 4 yrs the lighter the better 11.5" d.d. for the last 3 yrs at rock castle this year hit all long rifle targest in 1 rd i dont shoot 3 gun where there is longer than rock castle. i could not do any better if i had a 36" bbl. never has seen bbl lenght to be a big deal the whiz bangs might say different. 400yds is a good working distance for me magnifier m-4/s (use eotech in matches) 75 gr t.a.p. all work gear works great for 3 gun also did not need the magnifier this year. was not allowed to remove it once i started. just kept it folded down jjw

i use 4chokes and 2 shells. skeet l/mod l/f 1 custom made for stinging verticle on tight no shoots. very seldom but i like it. if that wont do it, its not the shell or choke 3dr1oz 7-1/2's doing 1350 (european load not avaiable here) blue 3dr 1-1/8 9's doing 1150 or so any one but i use some white 1's same company no reason just a different color in the 2 shells Victory is the name the 7-1/2's are a shell i shot in s/clays when i shot a lot bought them by the skid have several cases left over knocked over steel @ rock/ castle at 50 or so yds on longest steel i ever shot last year went fine l/f when they are gone will got to 3-1/4-1 oz of 7-1/2's jjw

dont bother. unless u are in the top 1% of shooters its useless 3-gun is based on a lot of things but fast reloading is not 1 of them. smooth is when u do it is better. a hi cap gun is better. almost always a spot to reload. i use an m+p that holds23+1 rds. a mag well would be no real aid and i dont bothter toooo many people here want to tweek the gun for sub sec savings. if u are not in the top tier mostly useless i have never tweekd a spring. apex is all u need dont screw with what the pros built. i use factory ball good sights been wanting to write this for a long time on a lot of questions i see asked about stuff not needed no shot at u just comes at a good time to say what i see a lot. also see a lot of mlf. my guns run stock(apexsights are exception) and run 100% tks for asking jjw

i have been doing this s long time and here is what works for me 3dr/1oz in 6's or 71/2's fr long stuff 3dr/11-8oz 9's for clays and little bitty stuff i use a load i was using for sporting clay and the european's use the same concept mostly. had a bunch so i used it.. they normally carry 2 shells. any good shell will come in thiese size's. has NEVVER NOT WORKED. also only carry 3 chokes sk l/m t /f all i have ever used. at rock castle, last yr, we had some 50 yds steel (@0:6:30 a.m.) and i shot the 7/1/2's with the l/f. took them down with 1 shot ea. r/0 asked what i was using. said he had never seen the shell. expalined it to him. gave him a couple. I DON'T BUY WALMART CRAP good shells have good components. pattern is king why spend 1,000$ to go to a match and buy cheap bad patterning ammo. 3$ more a box u get good stuff 3 boxesx3.00$ do the math. good luck jjw

L.O.L. rock castle had to pull out 2nd day. u CAN NOT LEGALLY silver solder unless atf rules changed & i missed it. u MUST PIN AND WELD. hence be sure or destroy f/f-connector on removal if u must. i am also a c-3 dealer in ohio hope this helps jjw

hope this helps. i have been shooting 3 gun for about15 or so yrs. used aimpoint eotec and s&b 1=4 i shot rock castle 3 gun several weeks ago with a 11.5" work "type"gun and a exps-1 eotec and hit all the steel i shot in 2 rds or less. i didnt finish the match due to health problems. i dont use an eotec for work but have no problems with 1. i can hit 10" steel and flashers to 300 no worries. i use an aimpoint m-4 s and carry a 2ns upper with a 12.5" lt wt d.d. 1/7 with the s&b on it., with a can for nite work, if the natives get restless. ANY OR ALL will be fine for 3 gun. i use the eotec & the 11.5" upper at all 3 gun and will in 2 weeks at carolina tactical 3 gun in fayetteville area and do as well as i can. any short comings will be mine not the kit i use. any good red dot can get hits at 300 yds. and yes i did have the aimpoint magnifier on the gun bt did not use it. longest target was not more than 250 or so. i do not like the t-1's as they are smaller fov. have 1 on my s&b as a side mounted cqb if i need 1 asap. good luck jjw p.s. btw have bi-focals,astigmitism, and am 69yrs old
