  1. I've been tearing through the rulebook trying to find anything that would prohibit it. 5.1.10 prohibits foregrips and shoulder stocks. Would the rail be considered a forgrip? I think not but, what would NROI say? If it does turn out to be legal I'd love to see it!
  2. A brand new gun that looks like it has been blasting away for centuries....I absolutely love it. Well done!!!!
  3. My Production gun saw similar round counts as yours and I changed them every year, just because. I never pushed them to see if they would go further, but the old springs showed very little difference in length compared to the new ones. I think they had plenty of life left in them, but I saw it as cheap insurance to swap them out during the winter tear down. I always used the Wolf +10's myself. I can't say anything bad about them, they always did the job. I liked the 10 packs.
  4. Its possible to overinsert the mag when the slide is locked back, which can cause it to hit and damage the ejector. Or so I have been told.
  5. I have to agree with Cecil. My Trubor is fantastic, but the DVC is a lot more gun for a little more money. But you will not regret a Trubor!!!!
  6. I had the same problem with my Trubor a while ago. The trigger bow was bent. Actually I think I bent it out of shape by squeezing the hell out of it against the grip safety. It was fine with certain mags and intermittent with others. There was just enough variance in the mag bodies that some hit the trigger bow and some didn't. So I straightened the bow and gave it a little clearance inside the front edge; that's where it was hitting the offending magazines. It's been perfect ever since. I also disabled the grip safety.
  7. Retail is rumored to be over $1,000. Ridiculous.
  8. Ditto on my Trubor! I changed the mount to a sideways because it indexes better for me, and I put in an Aftec. Everything else is stock. I remember the first time I zeroed it. I fired 5 shots at 25 yards. As I started walking towards the target, I got mad because I only saw one hole. Then when I got closer I realized all 5 rounds were in that one ragged hole. It doesn't have the looks of a custom but it runs like all hell and I love it.
  9. Dawson has some demo guns on sale too.
  10. I do love my Trubor to death, I mean I absolutely adore the thing, but when I recall what I paid for it versus what these cost, I wish I would have waited! The DVC seems like a helluva lot more gun for only a little more $.
  11. Wow those are sweet!!! Way more than what I was expecting. Nice job STI!
  12. I actually use an 8 lb spring in my Trubor for Major and minor. Runs fine. It wouldn't run minor at all when it was new, but after a few hundred rounds it loosened up.
  13. Plus large grip panels to make it feel like a regular 92 grip. I am very excited about this one.
  14. I also read they are consolidating their product offerings and getting rid of some models, like the Spartan. I read it on the internet so it must be true! SHOT is right around the corner, we'll find out soon enough!
  15. I used my Dremel to shorten the screws for my optic mount. That was relatively quick and easy and I figured the quick speed was worth the risk for a few $ set of screws. I kept the gun locked in the safe during that project. I don't want the greedy Dremel getting its eyes on any of my guns. I don't trust it.
  16. I bought my Trubor from Brazos and decided to leave it alone since it was my first 2011 and first open gun. I just wanted to shoot it and learn about myself and the gun before I changed anything. Just like calvin I was pleasantly surprised by the stock trigger. 10,000 rounds later and still haven't done anything to it.
  17. If SC doesn't have it try Brazos or Dawson. At least one of the 3 has always had what I was looking for at any given time.
  18. Same here, never moved on me during shooting.
  19. That's insanely awesome!!! How did you do the finish?
  20. Ahhhh...that's more like it. Crap now I might have to get one.
  21. Wilson posted on BF that basically USPSA is doing the same thing that IDPA did, lumping all the 92's with slide mounted safeties/decockers together, as long as they have factory parts from other approved guns. So yeah, it's just another 92.
  22. I was afraid of that bigboy, but I don't even see the scope body when shooting. And my transitions are still faster right to left. Can't say it's like that for everyone but it works for me.
  23. Get a Trubor and play with us in Open. We have lots of fun, and cookies. Chicks dig compensators and red dots. Hypothetically, if the chamber is fully supported, I would bet the Eagle would actually handle 9 Major, but it would be brutal to shoot.
