  1. It's run real smooth before. Looking forward to shooting the match.
  2. I wrote my US Representative yesterday and plan to write both my Senators today on this issue. Hope all of you will do the same. Back door gun control at it's finest IMO.
  3. Drove 3 hours to get out of the snow and ended up at one of Franks club matches..........boy that guy is a one man tear down crew. He needs help from the local club members from what I observed or you're going to loose a fired up USPSA shooter from burn out.
  4. I had the same problem with 308 cases. Like they said just hold the down stroke a little and you'll be good to go.
  5. I bought a set of Midway gages 8 years ago. Has 45acp, 9mm, 10mm, 40 S&W, 38 super, 380 acp. Don't know if they have still have the same set or not.
  6. Thank you Bullets arrrived 3/6/09 ordered 2/4/09
  7. njl how long did it take before you recieved your bullet order from Precision Delta. I placed an order on February 4th for 2000 180gr. 40 cal bullets and have not received them. I usually go with MTG bullets and place an order on Monday and have them by Friday. Just thought I would try something different while I wait for the snow to melt.
  8. So how do these work. Do you drill different size holes in various set screws and trial and error which size orifice to use for bleeding off some of the gas up through the set screw. Or is the set screw left intact and just turned down into the gas channel to restrict the flow of gas through the tube.
  9. Dillon makes their presses themselves. Thus they control the quality and can offer the no BS warranty. The electronic stuff is made by a third party. Asking Dillon to warranty them beyond what the third party will warranty them for, is like asking your car dealer to warranty a car beyond what the manufacture does. Agree with you but we do pay a slight premium for Dillon reloading accessories and feel just a tad bent out of shape when they break.
  10. As of 15 minutes ago my CV500 gave up. Rather disappointed since this will be the third replacement motor. I got the 2 hour run time from Dillon when I called the last time for a replacement motor. So I put a timer on it and it didn't help. I don't believe I over load it. It runs on a concrete floor in my garage which is currently 42 degrees inside. Still have my Lyman after 25 years and run it just as often as my Dillon with no problems.
  11. Lots of gimmicks and props that I've not seen before. Well run and lots of fun. Looking forward to seeing the results.
  12. As for value in the US the 547 has a range of $500 to $1000. With the more common 3" barrel length bringing the higher $$. Total production combined of both 3" and 4" barrel was around 10,000 units with the 3" being the larger volume. Go here http://smith-wessonforum.com/ if you want to dive into the the cult and do a search.
  13. I've tried IMR 4895, IMR 4064 and Varget powder with combinations of Sierra's 168 SMK's and Hornady 168 A-max and some pulled military 173 gr BT match bullets. But the best for me is 155 gr. Sierra Palma Match bullet over 44 grains of IMR 4064.
  14. 46 grains of Varget only because it meters so consistant. I use 155 grain bullets
  15. would Varget be a little slow for this bullet weight?
  16. Purchased at garage sale this weekend .......700 new inbox 50gr Hornady V-max bullets and would like a couple powder recommendations. I have 18, 20 and 24 inch barrels on my AR's with 1:7 and 1:9 twist rates. So far I have $10 in costs for the bullets
  17. I would like to comp a DPMS 308 with 18 inch barrel. Would the results of Pat's tests produce the same findings with the larger calibur?
  18. I would like to change out the plastic pistol grip on my DPMS 308. Are AR15 pistol grips interchangeable with the the AR10 lower? And what type of pistol grip do you have on your DPMS 308?
  19. Might want to try a faster burning powder. Your cartridge case is still swelled to the chamber wall while the bolt is retracting.
  20. Nice to see at least four father/son teams. Sipe, Greenfield, Tappe and another father/son combination from Minnesota. If the results were posted I could find thier names. Hint Hint. Watching Ben shoot for the first time was a joy in itself. Wally World white box and a Berretta....who would have thought
  21. Great match, I want to thank those three RO's who worked the two stages in the woods. What a mud pit.
  22. Just sent my application in to shoot the PSS on Saturday. $30 for ten stages beats any of the local club matches that weekend. Look forward to meeting some new shooting friends
