  1. A better motor for the small size Dillon vibratory case feeder. On my third motor. Easier way to adjust the case bell on the 550.
  2. 200 grain LSWC and non ramped 45acp barrels in 1911's can be consider the foundation gun and bullet that this sport was built on.
  3. I shoot still shot the factory barrel in my G34 using cast lead bullets. Didn't see the need to change, very accurate.
  4. Only problem if you don't live nearby is the $70 plus for shipping. Cut .585 and fit the barrel
  5. Just about the best $25 dollars I've spent. Thank you to all the match staff and stage designers.
  6. We have a Springfield RO in the shop so I checked it out taking a sight picture; boy it sucked. Took my calipers and measured the rear notch and found it measured 0.115, front sight blade is 0.119. Don't know about everyone else but I like my front blade to be thinner then the rear sight notch. Also why would Springfield ship it out with two 7 round magazines? For at this price point other 1911 by STI and Kimber will be a better buy.
  7. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would not have believed it but, there were a significant amount of AD's. 2 on our squad from experienced shooters. I was not on Matt's squad. My squad lost two shooters due to AD's and one to a dropped gun. One AD'd on the draw the other on a magazine change. The dropped gun was during the If Clear, hammer down, holster. Missed the holoster and the range clear command had not been given. Saw another DQ on the squad in front of me. Shooter messed up the technical part of the stage so was going to make up for it by running and firing a like a mad man at three open targets down the left side of stage 3. Over ran the third target and did about a 270 turn and shot.
  8. Very few takers takers on last years special pricing. Like single digit number few. Great bullets but way to spendy.
  9. No wonder the front sight seemed oversize. Odd choice IMO for a competition model. Thanks
  10. Just looked at a 5.25 last night and it appears to have a .125 fiber front sight. If correct based on just visual observation why didn't SA go with a .10 fiber?
  11. It would be nice if PASA would invest some of their match fee cut into more gravel on some of the shooting bays. HINT
  12. Winchester Auto Comp was an answer to a question that nobody asked.
  13. Thanks Tom, this match supports a good cause but historically results are slow. Just thought with you in the mix things might change. Thank you for supporting the match.
  14. Tom do you know where the match results can be found online for the Saturday portion?
  15. I shoot a 9mm 1911 put to gether by Bob Marvel over in Crete, Nebraska. He'll include a target showing your pistol capable of 1" or less group at 50 yards from a machine rest. Also includes load data.
  16. I think in Iowa you can get a learner permit to drive. Just think of the fun Jay is having with two teenage boys on his car insurance. OUCH Is that hair on Mike's head?
  17. Tripod

  18. Add me to the list of owners that received a 627 pile of crap from the PC more than 6 years ago. Some things never change
  19. At least I got a Chinese knock off of a Surefire flashlight in my goodie bag. Fun match. See flashlight here http://www.amazon.com/Fenix-TK10-Tactical-...5193&sr=1-1
  20. I agree, Bob Marvel does outstanding bluing. 402-826-3679 You might want his shop to do your pistol work too. Ask for Bob or Joe
