Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Are those the 17 round AFC magazines? If so, you're over length. The tubes are ever so slightly longer than on the 16 round magazines that were designed for use with CZCustom extensions.
  2. Pretty reliable, since they MAKE the factory CZ mags... As mentioned above, the only TS mags on the market are through CZ.
  3. ^^^THIS^^^ I'm running a 75B .40 converted to SAO in Limited. I get 14-15 rounds of .40 with CZCustom basepads. I took off the magwell and grips and am running a set of Nill Grips. I didn't find it that difficult to reload without the magwell and opted for a set of grips that fit my hand better.
  4. Totally different animals. The TS is a single action only, wider frame gun designed to be optimal for Limited. The Shadow is a DA/SA gun designed to be optimal for Production. The TS has a much greater capacity, being designed around the .40, while the Shadow shares magazines with the standard 75B, which was designed around the 9mm. The TS Orange is the pinnacle of CZ's lineup for Limited Division, while the 75 Accu-Shadow is the pinnacle of the lineup for Production, and the Czechmate is the pinnacle of the lineup for Open.
  5. No. Expect to pay about $43/ea. I have heard rumors of them being sold once in a 3 for $100 sale but have never seen it myself. That is directly from CZ-USA. They run the sale a couple of times a year on their webstore.
  6. Well, I pulled the mags apart and the springs are definitely dead. I have 1 extra spring that was never installed in a mag and it is about 2" longer than the ones I pulled out of the mags. Time to place an order with CZCustom!
  7. Alas, she just caught me Saturday walking by with a Sig 1911 that I've had since late November. The time before that was with a S&W 627 Pro. Time before that was a CZ 455 Ultralux (THAT was a hard one to sneak in!) I'm running out of places to stash stuff...
  8. Hello. I have been running a 75B .40 S&W converted to SAO in Limited. I am using 12 round Mecgar tubes, CZ Custom extended basepads, and CZ Custom 10 coil spring/follower combo. I can load to 16, but load to 15 for reliability issues. I leave the magazines unloaded between matches. I've been running this mag setup since June. We are a small club and shoot once a month. The past two matches I have had issues with rounds nosediving on full magazines. I know this is typical of weak magazine springs. My questions is: how long should these magazine springs maintain tension for? I have stock Mecgar mags/springs that have been in use since 2008 with no issues. Could the 13 round spring be used? I'm sacrificing 1 round as it is. Could I use the longer spring for extra tension and still maintain 15 rounds? I need to figure out how I can sneak a TS Orange past my wife and be done with it.
  9. Here's a few pictures in the video of the conversion cylinder. (skip to 3:52) When I saw it, I immediately thought of the Medusa conversions they used to do years ago.
  10. You don't need to have a Shadow upper. Any CZ .40 upper would work. Just remove the firing pin block and spring from the slide. Voila. Shadow upper.
  11. And if you do find them, they are 1/2 to 1/3 the price of an entire gun. Shadow slides run $450-475 from CZCustom.
  12. Here you go: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=49570.0
  13. If you received the gun without a firing pin block, you will need a firing pin block, firing pin block lifter, and firing pin block spring. You will need to take apart the sear cage to get the lifter in.
  14. My Sister has a .40 Compact. It is HEAVY!!! Even with the shorter slide and grip frame, the rail adds that much more weight. It weights more than my full size 75B .40. I strongly suggest you look into one of the new alloy frame compact guns. You will have to go with a decocker, unless you go even smaller to the RAMI.
