Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. Thanks to all of you for helping me get in touch with Jeff....It was more than I expected.... Regards to all who helped!! Mike
  2. Thanks for al of the help...Tom Drazy told me about the stage list, but now he can't find the address. I would still like to get the list if it is out there...
  3. I have been told that a gentleman by the name of Jeff Mache has a data base of approx. 100 stages for Steel Challenge type matches. If anyone could give me a link to that information....I would appreciate it!
  4. Had the usual great time. Had the usual glitch on each stage to keep me humble. Shot with the usual great squad, including Ted Puente, Nick Kalishek, Dan Tomososki and Matt Drossel.....Lots of laughs and good food! I really appreciate the Pro-Military sentiment of both DPMS and Brownells as match sponsers....it means a lot to me! Stage #1 Shotgun I've never been asked to contribute to the demolition of a real house before
  5. Nice looking gun. I like those grips. I might have to get one of those bigger magwells. Is that the SVI? I see that Dawson has come out with a new one for the single stacks...Does anyone have one? I always favor two-tone guns....what kind of grips are those???
  6. Any info on how the USA Midwest 3-Gun Championship is going??? They should have completed two days of shooting with tomorrow being the last day. I haven't found any sites that have posted preliminary scores.
  7. Thats what I did , Got a roll at walmart . No Problems after that. Brent ME THREE!!!!! Rockchucker
  8. Personaly I don't have a problem with people trying to sell thier stock for "outlandish" prices. It is what our economy is based upon (not so good right now) "supply and demand! How come no one has a problem with investors buying stocks and bonds low and selling high??? Try to buy a Prius for close to retail!!! Every commodity is traded with the idea that it will eventually be worth more than it was when you bought it! Also, take a look at where this gents from....I bet they have a whole new outlook on hoarding ammo and components after the Katrina disaster. What with protecting ones own from bad people.......and bad government!!!
  9. I see that the modreators moved this, but I'm not sure where they moved it. Anyway, thanks for the prompt replys. I appreciate it! Mike
  10. I just sold a rifle (bolt action) to a guy in California. Does anyone know what the "California" rules are for shipping? He said that I have to file an "intent to sell and ship" document with the California Department of Justice. I'm not familiar with any of this, but I have no problems doing the leg work to get'er done... Thanks
  11. Does anyone have any experience with coupling PMags for a magazine bi-pod effect? I love the PMags, but in the 3-gun matches that I get to shoot, there is almost always a stage or two where the ability to use coupled magazines as a bi-pod really comes in handy. I use the Arrendondo couplers with 30 round Brownell magazines or stainless steel C Products mags.... However the Arrendondo's don't work with the PMags and the Buffer Technologies cinch strap isn't great either...
  12. I had Leupold switch out the duplex reticle for the Turkey Plex reticle in a one inch VX-III 1.5-5x20. I like it alot. Just put the head box inside of the circle for a real quick head box shot and anything inside of the circle earns a bullet when in hoser mode. Yet the crosshair gives precision for the longer range stuff. When shooting plates, the circle inside of a circle image is very quick to aquire. I've been thinking about trying the 30mm Illuminated Duplex reticle. The 30mm glass is certainly brighter! What's not to like about Leupold? Excellent American made product. Supports our sport. Unbelievable customer service. Quality at a price that the average shooter can afford.
  13. Go back and look at the Tri-Gun web page. There is a note saying that due to some registration errors the squad lists will not be posted before the match (Thursday).
  14. Kevin: Thanks for the great match, last week. I know some shooters frown on the "multi-gun" thing, but I for one always enjoy a little diversity. It takes more effort to push the envelope than it does to do the status quo. The helping tear down thing is the least that a participant can do...I sure don't want the people who run the matches to get burned out! I have it easy, I live 60-70 miles from the metro area, so it is hard for me to belong to a club. I sure don't mind easing the burden of those of you who do so much so that I can enjoy this sport!
