Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun 2014
raysracer replied to RUSSO's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
I love the fact that this sports allows anybody who is safe to participate and have fun. What other sport will allow you to shoot on the same course, and in some cases, either be RO or squad with some of the superstars of the sport. I can't imagine Tiger Woods allowing anybody close. But I had dinner at the same table as Daniel Horner.- 265 replies

Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun 2014
raysracer replied to RUSSO's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
Figured it out. MST is Arizona time without daylight savings. So out here in California. With daylight savings we are in pacific daylight time which is same as MST. Confusing but we've got little less than an hour.- 265 replies

Million thanks to Chuck and Crimson Trace. This is by far the best and most over the top match I've ever been to! Thanks to all the sponsors. I'm going to need a new "shooting bucket list". Grenade launcher, SAW, suppressed, NVG, and of course, the "awesome" selector switch using someone else's ammo.

Benelli M2 - What parts for Preventive Maintenance?
raysracer replied to Religious Shooter's topic in Shotgun - Technical
I've had my M1 for 17 years. The only thing I change is the barrel to occasionally alternate between three gun and skeet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -

All around SG birdshot, buck & slug loads/brands for 930 JP Pro?
raysracer replied to shuter's topic in Shotgun - Technical
Bird... I use Wally World federals Slug... B&p just started selling their low recoils slugs again. http://www.bandpusa.com/b-p-slug/ Buck... I like the federal flight control 00 Make sure this stuff cycles your gun. Also for the buck and especially the slugs, check your POA/poi. Point of aim/impact. They can very depending on the gun. After that... Practice, practice, practice... Have fun! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Interesting.. The website says they are 1 oz, 1200 FPS. Has anybody chrono them?

How many rounds thru the M2? With higher round counts, the opening of the barrel has a sharp edge where the shell can bind. A little Dremel action cleans that up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

pedometer does work as a good round counter

That's cool! What parts did you buy ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Are you using a barrel clamp? I know using a clamp will change POA/POI. I didn't know that changing just the tube will change the POI as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I bought a pair of Crye Precision pants. I "cried" when I paid for it I "cried" when it came defective I "cried" when it has been six months and I still haven't received it This is the absolute worst company to deal with. Their customer service doesn't exist. I just wish I could get my money back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

The casepro will also tell you if you have a split case. It will make a different sound.

http://www.dillonprecision.com/content/p/9/pid/25434/catid/8/Shell_Sorter This is what I use. It works fairly well. The only issue I have had is when a shell sits inside another. ie.. 9 mm casing inside a .40

little advice needed for my M1 tac shotgun:)
raysracer replied to spddrcr's topic in Shotgun - Technical
I basically shot my M1 with the ghost ring rear sights ( I didn't want to remove them because I was planning on converting it back into a tactical gun) What I did was start with a 28 inch vent rib barrel for trap. When it became available I bought a 21 inch vent rib barrel. The biggest issue I had was that the front side on the vent rib is lower than on the ghost ring, so effectively the barrel was pointing up if you lined up the ghost rear with the front. Thats ok, sort of, for trap, but plays havoc when you're trying to shoot slug. With my new Benelli, my aim and cheek weld position is completely screwed. I was trying to shoot trap the other day, and had my worst outing in years. -
little advice needed for my M1 tac shotgun:)
raysracer replied to spddrcr's topic in Shotgun - Technical
I've had my M1 tac since 95. Used it for trap with the 18.5 barrel until I found a 28" vent rib. Started with local multigun matches and did fine with it. My recommendation is if the load tube sticks out too much, put a clamp on it. Limitations... Ghost rings will limit how fast you can acquire targets. Mine is a pistol grip, taran butler uses a PG. just depends on what you're used to.
