Just watched SALT again on DVD. Took Netflix several months to get it to me. Watched the Special Features which showed AJ doing lots of her own stunts (with safety wire of course).

First year as an LEO was at the range with several other officers and were getting ready to head to the PD as our shift was to start in a couple of hours. One of the LEO's said he had a $20 bill if anyone could hit the rebar from the 50 yard line. In one corner of the steel backstop there were some pieces 3/8 re-bar someone had hung up to put spinning targets on. We told him to put his money on the table which he did. We had been at the range for couple of hours and I had shot over 100 rds of 158 gr reloads thru my PD issue S&W Model 15. I asked if I had to stand or sit and he said I could sit. Sat down and rested the Model 15 on my old AWOL bag I could just make out the re-bar and took my first shot and to our surprize the piece of re-bar moved. I moved really fast and got that $20 in my hand. The guy said I missed and the movement was the slug hitting the backstop. We walked down and sure enough the re-bar had a lead mark where the 158gr SWC hit. The next week we were back at the range I shot over 50 times at the same rebar and never hit it again. Luck maybe so but the $20 came in handy...

I mark my shooting calendar with local club and area matches that I plan on shooting. She then plans weekends for us to go to the lake house. When she gets a call with an invite for something she checks the calendar. She knows that my safe is full and hard to close. That's why I got a part-time job years ago so l could buy my guns/reloading stuff. She has never had a problem with that.

I've had a SL barrel in my 34 since I got it. Shoot lead thru it for local club matches.. Area match I put in the factory and shoot jacket. Clean up is easy using 000 or 0000 steel wool with only 4 or 5 passes and it is clean..

Work some area matches and all you need to worry about is gas and food money....

A friend who is a detective for a SO is investigating a shooting that happened a couple of weeks ago. He said the shooter used a G22 and the mag was loaded with JHP's and FMJ's and what was unusual was the way the mag was loaded. First and only round fired was a JHP (guy was hit) and the next three rounds were FMJ’s and the fifth rd was a JHP and the next three were FMJ’s. After shooter was arrested and gun taken as evidence and was unloaded friend said that's the way all the mag's were loaded. A mix of 1 and 3. He was wondering if there was any logic to this and I said that the shooter was either watching too much TV, DVD’s or reading to many books or gun magazines. Anyone have any ideas on this. Thanks, T

This Saturday after shooting a club match I stopped at KFC for lunch and Guy and his wife came in after me. While I was eating the guy said he noticed the shirt I was wearing (Area 3 RO shirt) and wondering what type of shooting it represented? I told him it was and said that I had just gotten done. After I told him where the club was he said that he only lived about 10 miles away and didn't know there was a club near by. I've loaded Tula & Wolf before and used the loads at lost brass matches. I don't use it all the time and have not had any problems loading it.

There's no crying in shooting!!! If they do I hope they don't do it in public.

Like all the things you did xcept the lightening of the slide where the S&W logo/name is. I would have made the cuts on top of slide to reduce the weight.. But that is me....

Wife and I were suppose to leave this evening for Baytown for wedding this weekend but forecast for Houston, Dallas, OK City and NE Kansas calls for snow. It's a 13 hr trip when I drive 70 plus on I35/45 to get there. Don't feel like driving all day Sunday to get back home.

I mailed most of the parts for an STI SS in 45 to the gunsmith on Monday. Will wait a couple of weeks before I ask him the WAG date for it being done.

Sounds like shots coming from another bay.. At 5.34 mark you can hear shots being fired as RL is going prone at the car.

Have STI & SV 5" gun and both have bushing barrel... Like them a lot..
