I had a 45 SS built this spring and shot it at A3, A4 and A5 cause this is anniversary of 1911 and had a great time shooting t. Also have 3 hi-cap 40's that I will shoot in Limited in 2012. I don't worry about the time it takes to change loading setup. Don't like selling my guns cause I might want to shoot it next week..

At A4 my SS load was 181. Need to back down a little.

Yoe call her every few months.... Maybe that is part of the problem.......

500 should be enough for any Level III match. I use containers that hold about 250 rds each and take 2 of them. You can always go back and get additional ammo. Have never used all 500rds at a match.

I've been shooting SS at major matches this year. Will probably shoot Limited/L10 next year.

That's what we are hoping that out bill will go down a bit as we are all electric. We decided to put the new frig in the basement. We were told that a newer frig kept in an unheated garages during the winter will cause us problems as the freezer will stop working during cold weather.

Last week my old Monty Ward frig that was bought in 1977 finally quit. It was kept in the garage and used for storing beer, pop, etc. Sunday wife and I went to Lowe's after seeing their ad which had refrigerators at 10% off. Wife picked one out and while talking to the sales guy find out that they deliver for free, will take the old one at no charge and also got my 10% military discount.

It's within the distance as required by USPO cause had one destroyed about 9 years ag. My mail carrier was a butt cause the new post and mail box was higher by a couple of inches than required so had to shorten it to pass inspection. That mail carrier retired a couple of years ago so have to wait and see if my current carrier says o.k. I'm not sure about settings it in concrete.

Woke up this a.m. and went to get paper from driveway and found mailbox flattened and post broken. Wife and I came home from bday party about 1 a.m. and glad I got the mail instead of waiting till morning. So spent part of day putting in new post and mailbox in.

I know what you mean... On 1 July fan motor on heat pump when out at the lake house. I had to call a dealer about 50 miles away as the guy who installed system has never given me good service after selling me the unit. The person I talked to says that they have several calls and not sure when a person can get out to check the system but probably after 4:30 and do I still want them to come out. Wife and I have several friends coming for the 4th July weekend so what am I going to say... The tech calls about 4 p.m. and says he is on the way out.. Gets there about 5 and starts right in and and says "the fan motor is out" and man am I lucky that he still has one in the truck. When I talked to the dealer I gave them the model and serial number of the unit so he would come prepared to fix it. After about 40 minutes he was done and gave me a bill for $450. I wasn't a happy camper till I figured that the difference in cost between repairs being done during regular hours and after hours was only $90 (3 hrs. of the O/T) as I still would have had to pay for a service call, mileage, regular hourly rate and parts.

I've noticed that with my STI 2011 I shoot more A's with shiny brass.

I had DP install one of his barrels in my P16. Like it a lot.

I also like 200 gr. SWC with Clays and get them from Bulletworks.

At a recent area match during the RO shoot on Thursday I had an RO finish shooting a stage and he fumbled around getting the pistol holstered so I waited to give the "Range is clear" command till he was done and had his hand off the pistol. He looked at me with a look that said why are you waiting to give the RiC command and then gave a chuckle after I gave it. I wished I could of observed how he ran his stage during the match.
