  1. On a whim I put a titanium safety plunger in my Gen 3 34. Honestly, I can't tell a difference but it's been in there two years and hasn't broken or given me any problems. I think the only thing it really did was make my wallet a little lighter.
  2. My favorite Glock to shoot is a 34 and that is what I compete with. However, in reality I shoot it no better than my mid sized Glock 23 so I wouldn't suspect there is much of a difference going to a 17.
  3. I've built a steel threaded upper 22/45, a Pac-Lite 22/45, and a Ruger "Lite" for steel challenge and prefer the Lite by far to the other two. Maybe I'm just lucky but all three have been very reliable.
  4. Same here, I'm switching all my rifles to the BCM mod 3.
  5. Competition Glock 34, duty Glock 21, and carry Glock 23. Although they are not identical they are all Gen 3 Glocks which I feel helps when changing from one to the other.
  6. I use a Warren rear and a Dawson fiber optic front on my G34.
  7. I use a Bladetech non-DOH for Production only because I can use the same holster in IDPA.
  8. This is what I use for USPSA and I use Bladetech for IDPA.
  9. Same here that way I use the exact same holster from USPSA Production and IDPA.
  10. I've got a full length un-captured in my G34 and can't really tell a difference. But it sure makes changing springs a snap.
  11. Same here, I have green rods but have never felt the need to change from red. When the red fiber breaks I'll probably replace it with green.
  12. It never ceases to amaze me all the different configurations people are coming up with.

    Glock Magwell ID

Looks like a Dawson STI/SV magwell to me. I've heard eard of them being adapted to fit glocks but never seen one. http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80000C8B-1276884083
  14. What are the chances of a stainless steel gen 3 Glock ice magwell in the near future? I've got an aluminum Ice magwell but would also like a stainless steel version for a little more weight without being brass.
  15. Is that the heavy ice magwell or the standard ice version?
  16. I've got a Dawson Ice and it's great.
  17. My wife wanted me to build her a .22 with a red dot and it had to be "pretty". Back in August I started slowly picking up parts for "her" gun. However, I wanted a steel challenge open gun so I bought what I wanted and threw some pink grips on it. Build Specs: - Sam Lam hammer bushing - LCI filler/delete - VZ Aztec grips in pink with stainless grip screws - VQ Stainless target trigger - VQ extended safety - VQ extractor - Slingshot mod - Bjtraz slide racker, anodized black - 90* C-More mount, anodized black - C-More slide ride red dot - ZRTS aluminum compensator I love the 90* mount as it gets the lens low enough to use the iron sights through the glass.
  18. Good looking guns. That 90* C-More mount is awesome. I love the ability to still use the iron sights as a back up if the dot were to malfunction. I had mine type 3 hard coat anodized black and love it.
  19. No weight savings in the frame, it's polymer.
  20. Painted her up some Pltor ear muffs with white primer and a couple coats of candy pink. Shes happy so I'm happy.
  21. My wife wanted me to build her a .22 with a red dot and it had to be "pretty". Back in August I started slowly picking up parts for "her" gun and we brought home a 22/45 Lite yesterday. I wanted a steel challenge open gun so I bought what I wanted and threw some pink grips on it. We are going to sight it in tomorrow and shoot it at the local monthly bowling pin shoot on Saturday. Thats right, I'm gonna shoot the pink gun too. Build Specs: - Sam Lam bushing - LCI filler/delete - VZ Aztec grips in pink with stainless grip screws - VQ Stainless target trigger - VQ extended safety - VQ extractor - Slingshot mod - Bjtraz slide racker, anodized black - 90* C-More mount, anodized black - C-More slide ride red dot (2 moa) - Waiting on a ZRTS stainless compensator (coated black) I love the 90* mount as it gets the lens low enough to use the iron sights through the glass. Also pictured is a 22/45 RP with VZ Alien grips in green canvas with a Sam Lam bushing and Tac-Sol threaded and fluted Pac-Lite. My wife and I are giving the green gun to my cousin next week as a birthday/Christmas/graduation present. Needless to say he is an awesome kid and we think a lot of him. I hope he hears back from West Point soon with an acceptance letter.
  22. Just ordered a set of VZ Aztecs for my wife's future Ruger 22/45 Lite. Thanks for the code.

    Heinie sights

I had the exact same experience with my Warren Tactical rear and Dawson front sight on my G34. Switched the front out to a .245 and all is well.

    17 or 34?

I chose the 34 for the extra sight radius.
