  1. Just thought Id add to this for those who are interested. I just got the Dawson Ez-Off +.200 baseplates and they weigh 0.847oz on my scale. The gun is a Gen 3 Glock 34 setup for USPSA Production as well as IDPA ESP. My mods that effect weight are captured stainless steel guide rod, fixed Warren Tactical rear sight, Dawson fiber optic front sight, +.200 baseplates and the gun weighs 27.373 oz. According to Dawsons website a Glock 34 with the +.200 baseplates will fit the USPSA box with an adjustable rear sight. The Warret Tactical is fairly small so it should fit in the box just fine. As said above the Ice magwell installs easily so I simply install it for IDPA. I got the baseplates to make seating the magazines easier with the magwell but I'm glad I can still comfortably make weight with them for production so I don't have to switch them out.
  2. As you can see in this photo of my current setup the lens of the C-More is no where near as low as the one piece sideways mount.
  3. I can assure you it's much closer. I'll post pictures later when I get home and am not on my phone.
  4. I started with a .215 on my G34 shooting Atlanta Arms 147's with a Warren Tactical rear. Inside 25 yards I did not notice it was shooting high. However, when I was out messing around at longer ranges I did notice it was consistently high. I installed the .245 front earlier this week and plan to try it out tomorrow.
  5. I've got a Dawson Ice on my Glock 34 that I shoot in IDPA ESP and don't have any problems seating the mags. When I want to shoot USPSA Production I simply remove the magwell.
  6. Never been bitten. But then again I have the hands of a sickly young girl.
  7. You need a factory Glock G34/G35 extended mag release to be legal for production.

    Only ONE GLOCK

The one I have: G35 with a 9mm conversion barrel to shoot cheap ammo. Even though I have a G21, G23, and G34 if I could have only one I think this is the right answer.
  9. I'd look at a model with a factory aluminum barrel. It may save you some money later.
  10. I'm curious how well the Tac Sol comp fits the 1911 profile. The reason I ask is I have kind of the oposite thing going. I ordered a Marvel aluminum compensator for a threaded Ruger Mark 3 and am curious how well it will fit.
  11. Thank you, I was going to buy a mount this weekend so I'll get with him before I order.
  12. Does anyone have a link to a website where I an contact Barry? I'm not finding anything doing a yahoo search.
  13. Blade-Tech SRB with Sting Ray belt attachment.
  14. I called Dawson today and the adjustable rear sights are still on back order. I've been waiting since January 31st so I made a snap decision and canceled my order. I then placed an order for a Warren Tactical rear and a fiber optic .215 Dawson front. This setup was in stock and will ship tomorrow.
  15. I ordered this exact setup a month ago and the rear sight is on back order. Can't wait till they come in.
  16. In my G34 I run an 13# recoil spring on captured stainless steel guide rod, 3.5# trigger connector, titanium safety plunger with stock spring, heavier trigger spring, $.25 trigger job, and a striker spring out of a glock I bought 7 years and a couple thousand rounds ago. Gun runs 100%.
  17. ^^^ +1 ^^^ I just returned a firearm to a guy last year that had been reported stolen in 1980. The funny part is the gun was reported stolen 2 years before I was born and 25 before I became a police officer.
  18. I'm not sure when the first match will be. I'm on call every 3rd week and I'm trying to finish my last semester of of grad school so I have yet to find a weekend that I'm free to compete.

  20. I was told the OD green 34's are discontinued and I could not find one to buy. However, I didn't look very hard either. I took a soldering iron to my grip the second day I had the gun and it turned out great. There is no thrill like melting your brand new gun.
  21. Just got home with the new 34. I put 100 rounds through it right after I bought it and couldn't be happier.
  22. Ok, I'm gonna do the trigger myself. Im buying a dremel tomorow to polish everything up. What trigger parts do you guys suggest?
  23. I want to thank everyone for their replies. I bought my first pistol when I turned 21 (Glock 23) and have shot the crap out of it ever since. I have also been in law enforcement since I was 22 (28 now) and have trusted my life with a Glock 21 every day since then. I am a line safety officer so I do a fair amount of shooting and been to a few schools. However, I have never done any competition stuff, other than betting with coworkers on who buys lunch based on qualifying scores (I have yet to buy). I plan to get Sevigny sights with fiber optic front sight, was also planning on the 13lb recoil spring, and extended length guide rod. I am doing some reading on doing the trigger work myself, but I also want the frame stippled and am not sure that I want to do this myself. The gun will most likely be coming in tomorrow and I will pick it up after work if possible. I'm attending another shooting school the first week of March and plan to shoot this thing for two days straight. Been doing a lot of reading and will probably order 1000 rounds of Atlanta Arms 147gr 9mm soon.
  24. I live near Clinton and ordered my gun at the Tin Star Shooting Range in Weatherford. Yes I plan to start shooting regularly at the monthly matches at the OKC Gun Club. I'm also planning on shooting some Friday night bowling pin matches at the Firing Pin in Hinton. I have not competed yet, but can't wait to get a few matches under my belt.
  25. My wife informed me on Christmas that I could have any pistol I wanted under $1,500. Today I ordered a new Glock 34 and will be picking it up on Friday. Needless to say the price came in well under my wifes very generous budget. I live about an hour away from Accurate Iron in Oklahoma City so I will defiantly be getting some work done there. I should also still have enough money left over for a CR Speed belt, Blade Tech holster, and extra magazines and mag pouches. I plan to start shooting local USPSA matches in Production Division and some Steel Challenge matches, this weighed heavily into my gun choice. I cant wait to shoot this thing and start pimping it out.
