  4. You need to point your shotgun at your face whenever you change chokes?! of course not...but you cannot avoid sweeping yer hand. just sayin'.
  5. Agreed. How the heck would you change chokes on a shotgun...which IS allowed in all MG rule sets?
  6. Trust me, I'm way beyond B-Cup. Way beyond Bianchi Cup? With ALL due respect.............I doubt that. Alan~^~ If B Cup is Bianchi, what's DD Cup? LMAO!
  7. nothin' to brag about, but after the 1992 steel challenge down at 5 dogs, we were playing with a 175-200 yard plate with steel loads. shooting weak hand unsupported. took me 8-9 rounds but i hit it. video proof is here:
  8. better always have one in the bag in those rare cases you have to go prone. and yes, there are stages like that.
  9. tubes are not the same...the tongue on the end is longer for 1100's.

  11. can't wait to get this thing to the range...
  12. always used the JM and istrelok on my iphone. just thought there was a better way of estimating the hold. and yes, benny, that's why they created a beta mag. dan-just got shipping confirmation on some BO powder, so won't be long.
  13. ok, say you got a scope with a BDC reticle. say you dial it in so your loads are close to matching the BDC points. say the BDC points are 200, 300 & 400 yds. now the conundrum...targets are say 270 and 360. how do you figure the holdover points given the "tweeners"? i have always looked at the trajectory tables for the target distances, compared the drops to the known drops for the BDC markings and then it becomes a guessing game on how much to hold over. say the 360 yd target had an extra 8" drop from the 300 yd BDC point. you hold 8" low of that target (think bottom of the plate). or is there some voodoo magic i'm missing on the in-between points?
  14. Mr CSEMARTIN is one of THE most helpful folks on this forum. Why? Lemme tell ya, cause I know he won't. Few years ago I posted about my wife being diagnosed with breast cancer. Within hours I had a PM from him regarding the matter. Turns out he is a breast cancer surgeon. He offered to discuss any detail I might want, gave me his personal cell #, pager, email add, etc. we exchanged a number of long, technical emails and in every case he provided me with information that was so, so helpful at that rather difficult point in time. This gentleman was special, and I owe him a ton. I hope to meet him someday and waste some primers with him at a match somewhere. Thank you Chris. And that is the rest of the story...
  15. "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know".
  16. Fish oil, red meat, expensive wine and craft beer. Oh yea, and Hoppes
  17. So wtf? component manufacturers think they are oil companies now? And don't try to explain Econ 101. It's a big shi$ sandwich and we're all gonna take a bite sooner or later.
  18. buddy of mine called on day telling me to get over to his place. had a cat problem and had been trapping them. i get there and he has a few of the little offspring. goes outside and shows me one of those water balloon launchers set up between two trees. i can still remember laughing as i heard the "meows" as they sailed thru the sky.
  19. I was once overruled by an arb committee. And i can tell you, as a seasoned CRO, I was absolutely sure of this one. Didn't matter. Lost faith as a result.
  20. used to-not anymore. saving them for rifle loads...
  21. if i don't find rifle powder real soon, there are several big matches i'll have to bail on...this sux...
