  1. I don't doubt you whatsoever, I guess it would baffle me why guys spend money on tuned mags and aftermarket mags if they worked so well. I don't have any experience with them, I am just going off the forum posts. In .40 for limited it is for capacity, you get one more round. Same for big sticks in open guns. In 9mm for 3 gun I just don't see it. Us shooters do love to spend money and have the newest and coolest stuff though. I have guns set up both ways and for 3 gun I prefer my slide to lock back. You will find what works for you. For me throwing in a nag and hitting the slide stop is faster if I happen to shoot to slide lock. Some matches pistol in a dump bucket with the safety off is no longer a DQ
  2. Why would you change all of that stuff? I run stock plastic spacers (I did glue them in with RTV) and they work fine. I also run stock followers, hi performance followers lock the slide back with a round still in them stock followers work as designed. I run stock springs and have used the same ones for 2.5 years. I have several extras but I have never bothered to change them. I do run aftermarket base pads but just for looks and because I got a great deal. I have not used any MBX mags. I have SV mags for my open gun that are super tuned for capacity 30 rounds in a 170mm but the short mags 140mm really don't need any work. I have had probably 20 STI mags and I never had one that didn't work in stock form... I am not a take you mags apart every stage guy either...
  3. In my opinion there is no need for MBX mags. Stock STI mags work fine and will lock the slide back if you happen to shoot to slide lock. You don't need super tuned uber high capacity mags for 3 gun... again my opinion. I am a middle of the pack guy at major matches
  4. My ESP gun only makes weight with 1 of my mags and it is so close it has to be clean when weighed... It also BARELY fits the box...
  5. Oh and if everyone wanted s cheely there would be a wait...
  6. I think this one has been just over a year. Maybe 13 months...
  7. STI has very crappy records. They don't go back very far. If SVI installed the grip they will have a record of it.
  8. I got a call Tuesday from Brandon asking a few final questions and he said mine would ship the end of this week or the beginning of next... So now I am like a kid on Christmas eve but I am not totally sure when Christmas eve is...
  9. Low mas, JP for sure. Ultra low mass, Boomfab
  10. My 1301 will run 1145's all day long. BUT, it is a gas gun. Inertia guns like the M2, M3K or A5 are different.
  11. AA 1200's are at about 95% 100 rounds with 5 failures to fully eject because of short stroking.
  12. 1050 because of the swage. 1050 for .223, 9mm or any brass that could have crimped primers. 650 for everything else.
  13. I have an old pattern master choke. It came with a shotgun that I bought a while back. weirdest thing i have ever seen. It has square blocks inside the choke... I have not shot anything with it but it seems to have been well used. The guy I bought the shotgun from said in the day it was "the choke"
  14. Props to the fine folks at Benelli! My M3K shipped with 3 of the same CYL choke. One e-mail and a new set is on the way.
  15. The 1200 fps Remington managed recoil blue LE slugs work but the same exact thing in green aka non LE don't work 100%
  16. Just over 1/2" shorter. When I threw it up it would get hung up on my shirt a tiny bit. It seems much better now. You are at least 4" taller than me so you probably won't have any issues.
  17. I guess I am keeping it... Turned it into a P3K
  18. Probably not. I plan on shooting it in practice a little tomorrow.
  19. All set up. Holds a tight 13 in the tube. Sights came out good OS shell holder. It has some sharp edges and had to be a little far out because the way the hand guard is made
  20. Velcro and drill and remove material so the head of the nut is flush
  21. None of the pins came out of my M3K easily. the cross pin that holds the bolt had to be driven out also. The holes they came out of looked to have been staked slightly.
  22. Now that you mention it, I may have had to hammer it the first time. I've pulled the extractor a few times since then and completely forgot. I should probably update the video so people don't think there's a problem with theirs. One tip for hammering pins out that has helped me immensely is to use a hockey puck (they're $6 for a 3 pack on Amazon). Drill a hole in it and then place the bolt/slide/frame whatever on top with the pin over the hole you drilled. Then you can hammer the pin out without damaging the gun. Great tip. Thank you
