  1. What lower and what pins? I had a lower give me fits with JP oversized pins. I also had one that didn't like KNS pins.
  2. His hammer was getting caught on the disconnector, which is what it is supposed to do but when you release the trigger the hammer is supposed to come off the disco and onto the sear. It was getting hung up. Pull the upper off and pin the trigger push the hammer down until it catches on the disconnector the ease the trigger out and see if it comes off the disco and onto the sear on its own.
  3. I don't think it is a short stroking issue. The trigger resets before the round is close to ejecting. A friend had a 24c doing the same thing at the freedom match.
  4. I think only firearms with a manual safety should be re-holstered hot. Glock type firearms get an advantage at the dump bucket you just drop and run. Many times 2011 shooters re-holster hot so we don't run the risk of bumping the safety off... I think maybe a 12 round tube limit for the shotguns outside of open, not 8 that is just silly. 2 anywhere is great, we want to shoot fast but is has to at least touch the perf on a cardboard target Maybe some stage guidelines like uspsa for every 200 yard long course you need a fast and furious course... No more if you step out of the box or across this line before fully holstered DQ's If you are safe, no DQ
  5. No slug or buck yet, I should not have even been messing with this because I am shooting practical at the 3GN regional this weekend but I couldn't help myself...
  6. Oh and surprisingly I was able to hit the steel well with no sights
  7. This has been discussed a bunch of times... I have a .38 super that I have shot so much 9mm out of that I forgot it was a super. I wouldn't recommend anyone do this I am just saying that it works for me...
  8. Also, the hand guard wiggles around a little. Just side to side. Does yours do that? The pistol grip wiggles a little also but that could be due to my cutting skills... I think I took a little too much off
  9. What are you running for sights? I am thinking red dot but which one... Does it need a riser? I was planning on adding the comp also. I am going to finish out this year (6-7 more majors) in Tac-Ops/Practical so I am really prepping this for next year and maybe some local matches... I kind of like it so far
  10. I was planning on getting the 23 round mag but I wanted to make sure all was good with this "project" I fired 2 boxes of 1300fps Remington shells last night and everything worked fine. I snuck a RIO shell in there and it wasn't quite ready for that yet...
  11. Thanks Kevin that makes sense. I was planning to replace the spring and I already have a low drag follower. Probably just need to clean things up a bit
  12. Must be the lighting! The shotgun match was fun. I didn't know the scores were up. Looks like I did ok :-) I got my butt kicked Sunday at the 3 gun match though.
  13. Thanks to the guys at Tooth and Nail for talking me through some sticky spots.
  14. By the way it's RED not pink. Looks kind of pink in the pic.
  15. Got it together and dry fire seems good. Might be a few days before I can actually function test it. It doesn't like to eject but that could be my well used dummy rounds.
  16. "bolt would not release" Bolt release had no affect. Gun was effectively locked up. There may have been play, I don't recall.
  17. Local match this weekend and I had 8 rounds in a 12 round tube with 1 round in the chamber. Not a new mag spring but not old either. On the start signal, I fired 1 round, bolt locked back, lifter was locked down, little button on lifter was depressed. bolt would not release, I banged the stock on a stage table and the gun loaded a round from the tube and ran fine till empty. I have a feeling this is a variant of the "wont put a shell on the lifter" issue but it has never happened to me during operation before. My shell catch has been polished because I had intermittent issues where it wouldn't drop a shell. Anyone else have any other ideas? Gun has maybe 2500 shells through it. This happened with AA 1250's First time during a match that I have had an issue with this shotgun.
  18. Got a few issues so far. 1st all the videos I watched show the 2 nuts that hold the barrel on unscrewing the same way. The jam nut on mine is left hand thread. 2nd with the thick piece for the level 10 forend under the guide rod nothing gets tight like it should. I don't know what I am missing. 3rd I need an ambi safety. 4th I thought the t&n trigger would be better but it is heavy as hell like 8 pound pull?
  19. My plan is to put an ACE Skeleton stock on it. I may have to modify the T&N adapter a little. Anyone try an ACE stock?
  20. All good news. Parts shipped today and I am ready to start whacking away on this thing.
  21. 20" barrel I didn't know there were choices till you said
  22. Ordered a ton of parts today. Guess I will see how it goes. :-)
  23. I am pretty handy with a dremmel... I will be using a bunch of T&N parts for sure
  24. How hard is it to buy all of the parts and make your own open MKA-1919 3-Gun rage machine? It looks like I could save a few bucks and learn a lot about the gun.
