Multigun match over the weekend, slug fired at and hit non-designated steel popper at 20 yds. Is this an infraction under USPSA rules, if so what is the penalty?

I liked the idea but not the price, made my own out of .128 kydex. I formed it over a mandrel and cut/filled to final shape. Tension could be changed easily by heating and reforming kydex if desired. It's also mounted far enough forward to not effect quadloads but still be faster than going to the belt for a single reload.

Had to have something with a high top to protect my ankles, found an old pair of football shoes with rubber cleats. $5.00 at a garage sale, work great in all conditions and provide the required support for starts/stops/cuts.

Anyone using the weak hand qual-load have any problems hitting it on your "follow through" with your weak hand?

Three different ranges in this area use briquettes, more challenging maybe but very easy clean up and no break ups when launched.

I found the products at Harbor Freight and at local welding supply companies. It is available in different sizes and if you want the "Bling" effect it was in multiple colors as well.

I just mixed some black 2-part epoxy, applied a thin "skim coat" over the areas I wanted textured and sprinkled Black oxide sand blast media on it. Shake off the excess after drying and lightly file it for desired roughness. This process works very well on rounded and flat surfaces.

Couldn't that be compensated for by using a closer zero, say 25-50 yds? Playing around on Strelock using 55grn @ 2850 100yd zero shows 2.26 MOA at 200, just under the first hash??? I'm trying to decide between the Razor II and the Leupold multigun, both have a "hot dot" that is daylight visible, 6x, equal FOV, strong warranty, but the Leupold is also marked for windage, etc. What am I missing and please save your sarcasum for someone that thinks they know what they're talking about. I'm new to this but I think I know what I don't know...

^^^ This, I bought one of these for some of the new guys to try at our local matches, kinda try before you buy. I cut approx.5/16 off the mag tube and the Nova nut fit perfect. Up to that point it was a no-go. They look like they will be very similar to the M1 when opening up the loading port but the trigger guard assembly looks like it will need some attention unlike the M1. The lifter looks like the "old" M1 lifters so welding it up won't be quite the priority for these. For a small buy-in, this gun looks like it will be good for the new/occasional shooter, especially after the test drives that some have posted about

I understand that. My question is why is it not considered breaking 180 when pointing the firearm in a rearward direction while drawing or re-holstering when many times waiting shooters&spectators can be "swept" during this process because of the rearward cant of many holsters?

Went back to review and I was unable to cut/paste but I read it on the IDPA.com website rules section. The heading did say Effective 10/13, apparently this is just a DRAFT. If so, sorry for the confusion I may have caused # S8.3 Again, I was just looking for a new holster and came across this (PROPOSED) rule???

If I'm completely missing something here please advise and excuse my ignorance...

Birchwood-Casey makes a product called Brass Black, works great to almost permanently color the cases black.

I got to shoot in the Noveske 3G in Colorado couple weeks ago and while there a gentleman took the time to unbag his rifle so I could look through his Vortex. WOW, that thing was just what I'm looking for! I've been running the 1-4 PST and while I like the glass the "HOT DOT" in the new Razor was the best of both worlds to me. True 1x with a daylight visible dot and a very clear simple reticle for LR targets. Thanks again to the Gentleman that took the time, now I'm on the hunt for one of these!

I tried grip tape and never got a good "fit" using it. In stead of stippling the stocks I applied a very thin skim coat of black 2-part epoxy and sprinkled it with a fine sized, black colored sand blasting media. Let it dry and shake off the excess and it was GTG. I also used the same process to build up a "plam swell" to make the gun fill my strong hand better. Additionally, there are many different sized grits and colors available to mix and match depending on gun finish/color or type of surface you prefer.

Noted an earlier post about the new SWFA 1-6, has anybody else tested/purchased one? The FFP with the doughnut @1x looks interesting but was curious at what power it was no longer visible.
