  1. Sounds like a great event and a noble cause, signed up with my son and son-in-law with waivers and squad requests sent. So looking forward to the helicopter portion, don't get many opportunities like that around here...
  2. What am I missing, been using a Midway Drag Bag for years? Easy access, decent bump protection, keeps the dust out if I chose to keep guns cased during a match, carry options between house or motel room, etc.
  3. Understood, but I need a better arrow with my mere mortal abilities...
  4. Thanks for the link to the Trulock wrench, every time I use a diffuser choke it "threads" itself into the barrel so tightly because of the RH twist in the tube that it's nearly impossible to remove it with the factory wrench. The longer "pilot" portion of the wrench with an extended handle should make removal of the diffuser much easier.
  5. I'm in the process of modifying a G2 Hunter that I just received last week for HM. The gun will be getting the typical mods for competition but in the mean time I took the rifle out and fired it in it's stock configuration using different ammo's. Accuracy was on par with various reviews I've read and I was using the new 25 round Pmags w/o any function issues. I don't have any 20 round mags to compare with but the 25's work great and provide a slightly taller "rest" for prone.
  6. Three area clubs are using the 1hit rule and a fourth is considering it for the coming season. Participation has grown in HM because of it and whatever perceived advantages seem far outweighed by the advantage semi's have over the pump guns.
  7. Thread revival--- Looking real hard and these options seem to work best for my situation. Any more input on these two, the RECON II or modify the Hunter model for HM. Thanks in advance for the replies
  8. I just bought enough backer/fork combo's for anything I might need to carry and used a small diameter soldering iron to melt holes through my inner AA belt. Then just mounted the backers to the inner belt where I wanted them with the hardware that came with the ELS. Doing it this way I get more contact between the belts vs using tekloks, much faster setup changes and the holes are melted through so no frayed edges.
  9. Had a Gen I Syrac, great performer till it locked up. I made multiple attempts (more than 5X) to contact them via phone and email and never received any reply at all. First thought was to pitch it in the trash and chalk it up to experience, instead it still sets on my bench as a reminder of how poor customer service can be.
  10. Shooting TO and am looking for experience/ opinions about one vs the other. Thoughts?
  11. ^^^ Maybe some LEO's, but I've heard of one LEO from the West coast that's damn hard to beat by most anyone and there's another one around the KC area that's pretty fast as well... You can poke the bear with a stick if you want and I'll be there to bandage you up
  12. Ditto on the Choates AND the homemade "Match saver" for the quick follow-up shot. Regs say only three in the gun, nothing about ON the gun...
  13. Does anyone know of a process that one can have the SN relocated back to the trigger guard legally like the new ones to allow for equal receiver mods? Thanks in advance
  14. I like them a lot now, not so much in the past. In fact you could say I almost had a "take my toys and go home attitude" about them. Just couldn't get the hang of them until I started paying closer attention to how they are set up, the angle I shot them from, distance, etc. Now it's just about simple physics and timing...
  15. Got to shoot in the first two but will be unable to make this one due to match being moved to Labor Day weekend. Considering the cloud that was over last year's match because of the pending firearm restrictions I'm very happy to see this match continue despite the infringement on the 2nd Amendment. A big Thanks to all that worked very hard to keep this and all the other matches in Colorado going strong! Any chance it will be moved back to the same time frame it was in the past???
  16. After watching the vid's. seems to me that "FLAT-LINE" describes it pretty well, cuz recoil looks dead...
  17. I've got one of the Gen I blocks and recently was building some new loads so I needed to change the setting. I have fired 500~ rounds since the last time I attempted to adjust the flow and found the thing locked up tight at this point. I have soaked it in brake cleaner, Kroil and put it through multiple sessions in my sonic cleaner with no luck. I have attempted to contact them by phone and EM but have received no replies or I wouldn't be posting my problems here. Has anyone else encountered this and if so how did you correct it?
  18. I use mercury recoil reducers in trap guns and BPCR rifles that noticeably reduce perceived recoil but they are mounted in the stocks parallel to the barrel axis. Would the reducer offered by Benelli have the same effects? I've seen them in catalogs but not in person and didn't know how they mounted.
  19. I was considering the same trigger change, ended up just replacing the stock plastic one with the STI aluminum one instead. I liked the LOP of the original plastic trigger, just didn't care for the slick surface and the aluminum replacement is ribbed like my other 1911 style pistols. The cost for the STI replacement was 1/2 the cost of the SVI...
