  1. Sorry, you can only be new once! Welcome back!
  2. Oal can make difference. Shorter will increase pressure if no other variable changes. Also barrels can be different (my kart barrel is consistently 25-30 fps faster than my sti) or other factor like bullet type, temps, altitude, ect can effect the pf. Start low and work your way up. When testing wsf I started at 4.8g and loaded in .2g increments until I found a load that all 8 test rounds made major. I ended up backing down to 5.4 as the final load. I concur! And in fact, 2 XDm's may, or may not, give you the same velocity. I do not recall how far apart my two XDm's are but, it was enough to change the power factor by 2.
  3. The Delta Point and Fast Fire have a different bolt pattern.
  4. I went back thru my chrono log, this morning, and found this from January 2012: SA XDm 4.5", 40 S&W Case: mixed Bullet: Precision Delta 180 gr. FMJ Primer: CCI 500 Powder: WSF COL: 1.120" 5.4 gr. - 172 PF 5.6 gr. - 176 PF 6.0 gr. - 180 PF
  5. Like others have said, it is just another stage. Call your shots and shoot as fast as you can . . . just like the prior stage. You don't want to be classified higher than you can shoot a match, do you? I often shoot with a revolver shooter that spent an entire summer shooting classifiers. Yes, over and over again. He made Master last spring and is constantly getting beat by A and B shooters. By constantly I mean each and every match!
  6. I recommend you go with the Dillon and sell the Lee Pro 1000 to me. PM sent.
  7. I use the padded Caldwell barrel support, resting the accessory rail in it. It has a threaded shaft, allowing for height adjustment. Then, use a sand bag, or 2, under my grip / hands.
  8. Yeah, where has Merlin gone! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU !
  9. Yes, dot is small, 7.5 moa is a delta shape (triangle). The latter is what you want for uspsa. Zero the sight with the top point of the delta at point of impact. The delta is fast to acquire and the tip gives you great accuracy
  10. Good load, is this every going to end?! This is the result of today's mentally. They teach kids in school, now, that there are no losers. Everyone is a winner. You see where I am going with this?
  11. Guys, this issue goes much deeper than finding a chambered dummy round at the range! It means you did not clear your weapon at the end of your dry fire. You should have disqualified yourself at home! Please, during practice, handle your gun just as if it were filled with live rounds, and you are at the range. I even observe the 180 during dry fire.
  12. Congratulations on your accomplishments! Very nice story about you in front sight, too!
  13. I got a bunch (600+) crimped-primer Winchester, from a police range in Michigan. Good friends son is on the force. Even after cutting the crimp out, they do not prime worth a crap. They are in a bag on the basement floor somewhere

    Hello

    Welcome, Colorado!
  15. How is college going? You still have time for it? Welcome to the forums!
  16. I guess that they have had an issue with a product means you should write them off completely. Lets totally disregard the fact that they warranty the RTS2's without question. We should also forget about the decades of support they have shown the shooting sports. Yup, crappy company. I can not believe what I am reading here! A company knowling sells defective products to consumers. Consumers that believe they are purchasing a good, working product. This action was, at a mininum, immoral and probably a violation of law. And yet, many of you support the actions of Cmore. WOW! It is a good thing there is no lemon law that applies here, but there sure as h**l should be. Can you imagine, in today's world, purchasing an automobile and taking it back time after time, for the same defect? Nope, it is your right under the law to ask, and get, your money back. ANY company that doupted me into buying a knowling defective product would be facing questions from my state's attorney general. I would see to it! I don't care how many good Leupold (for example) products I have, if they were to stick me with a knowling defective product, It would be the last time I dealt with them. Obviously, some of you can not see the forest for the trees.
  17. Delta Points are all I use. I don't think there is anything better. Fact is, I have never owned a Cmore product. And, after the RTS2 fiasco I definitely would not purchase their products. I mean, that tells me all I need to know about the Cmore company.
  18. I marked my brass the first two years, I shot USPSA. But, I was putting it thru the same process as other brass so, I stopped doing it.
  19. I just signed up, Chuck. I am really looking forward to another season at the rabbit!
  20. I opened a new 8# jug of Winchester Auto Comp, this week. I loaded 9 rounds to fire through the chrono, like I always do, to confirm my 170 power factor is still intact. It only took 3 shots for my eyes to open wide, as I thought to myself "WTH" . . . 166 PF?! I shot the remaining 6 rounds, and got the same results. On the walk back to the basement, I'm thinking there could not possibly be that much difference from lot to lot. At least I have never experienced such. I'm thinking the powder throw has changed, however, I am using Lee's auto disc so . . . how could it? The next thing I need to do is weigh the charge. To my surprise, it is throwing a weight 1/2 grain lighter than it is supposed to be. I keep zeroing the scale, rechecking the tare weight . . . I can not find anything wrong. This is where it gets screwy, and I think my dementia has worsened. After some head scratching, I decide to increase the charge, and find a hole in the disc that throws exactly .5 grains more powder. I load 9 more rounds and head back outside. I have a power factor of 170 again. Now I'm thinking, the same volume of powder weighed 1/2 of a grain less . . . and my head starts to hurt.
  21. If the makers name does not start with an "L", it is not worth considering no how
