  1. Aren't there a lot of shooters, that get ammo, and match fees paid.Sure there are some but they are hardly considered pro's.But realistically this has to be why we have classes. The average C shooter isn't competing against a GM anyways. Exactly! You can be squaded with a Grand Master but if you are an A, you are competing against other A's. I am a Super Senior now and at the end of the day the only results that concern me are how I did against the other Super Seniors . . . be they "sponsored" or not. I am competing against everyone in my division, including GM's. Sure, I don't expect to beat some of the top dogs, but I still am using their scores to quantify my own performance and my improvement over time. Beating other guys in my 'class' is pretty meaningless. Really? I take great pride in being high overall B class, or high overall super senior.
  2. Mine is frame mounted . . . Carver mount. I tried slide mounted once, then tried the mount. I found the dot tracked better on the mount, and I can shoot faster. Your results may vary
  3. I want to welcome you to the forums, even though you shoot IDPA.
  4. I welcome you to the forums, thank you for your service and I too live to ride.
  5. I do not have the Pro yet, however, I have been running the original Delta Point on my open gun for 4 years now. I use the 7.5 moa delta, and install a fresh battery every spring. It has yet to let me down, or disappoint.
  6. I don't know about all that but, I bought a new tag sticker for the bike, yesterday. And, I will be on 2 wheels all afternoon, today!
  7. 22 matches sure are fun, eh? Our local range has not held one in 2 years, due to the bullet shortage. I am begging them to bring it back this summer. My M&P 15-22, and Ruger Mark III, groan and moan every time I open the safe!
  8. So my optic breaks. Can I finish the match with suppressor sights, while keeping the optic on the gun?Is there a requirement that I turn the optic on? How are we going to police that? What happens when the dot goes off halfway through the stage? How will we police that? Can I have back up sights on the gun? What happens if my gun breaks, and my only backup is my production gun? I assume you are kidding, as the below responses are clearly the answer to your queries. All kidding aside, as a moderator, are you trolling? Have you bothered to read the posts on the USPSA forum and USPSA FB page where there have been explanations from BoD members? Okay, is this not cheating, atbarr? You must use a slide mounted optic, correct? The division can not be shot with iron sights, correct?
  9. I'm just glad to see a slide mounted optic is required.
  10. Reloading is a great hobby itself. Welcome to the forums!
  11. Welcome to the forums, from the great state of Ohio!
  12. Yeah, Bruce has his birth year, and his side arm, confused Happy birthday!
  13. The son-in-law and I use WSF for 40 S&W. Great powder, IMO!
  14. Here is southeastern Ohio, we were supposed to be just on the edge of this storm. However, here in Morgan county, Malta-McConnelsville, I woke up to find an accumulation of 8 ~ 10 inches. Where are you, and what is your snowfall?
  15. What he said. I only shoot one division now, and the other divisions have no effect on me . . . do not interfere with me what so ever. How, exactly, does L-10 affect you in a negative way?
  16. I have the Hornady LED strip on 2 presses. I don't know about any of the others but, these are awfully rigid. I would like to have had something much more flexible.
  17. Not yet . . . not my competition guns. But, I once dropped my Ruger Redhawk, while preparing for deer hunting. And, it just had to land on the concrete patio upside down . . . Leupold scope down. There was cosmetic damage, but it held zero. It pays to buy good glass . . . whew!
  18. Nope, I haven't. MTM products are all I use
  19. I use the same technique, with a small dead blow hammer. Works just fine.
  20. Southern by the grace of god? HA! Good one! Another hunter here. Love eating wild game, especially deer. There is no place here, for such discussions, and never post pictures of harvested game . . . not permitted. Oh, and welcome to the forums, from a true blue northerner!
  21. I recommend Steve Anderson's Refinement & Repetition dry fire book. One of the most important aspects, of dry fire, is being totally honest with yourself. It is so easy to cheat, which is why one needs to do the drills during live fire as well.
  22. I could care less, one way or the other. Carry Optics does not affect me in any way, since I have no plans to leave open. Having said that, there has yet to be any participation at the two monthly matches I shoot. I believe this is partly due to it being provisional . . . people reluctant to spend the money on a maybe. Perhaps it will become more popular if, and when, it becomes an official division.
  23. Welcome to the forums! I highly recommend USPSA competition
