  1. Scott, This is great news as we will finally have a place to shoot matches close to home. I would be interested in the RO class as well. Let me know if I can help in any way Aaron
  2. The JHP is a little shorter bullet length than the FMJ I believe so you'll have to adjust the seating die a little. The JHP has a covered base so there should be a little less smoke vs the FMJ (not that VV N320 smokes much anyway). I would load 10-20 just to test but my guess is that you will be very close. I'm making the same switch once I use up the remainder of my FMJ ammo.
  3. Wondering whether to buy a MP40 Pro or have work done to my Springer 1911A1

  4. GREAT stages guys! Perfect way to end the 'outdoor' season. See ya'll in the spring!
  5. I got nothin' ......... just sitting here waiting for the next match to come around this weekend :-)

  6. Bedell ran like a champ on Saturday at Circleville. Glad both Limited guns run on the same ammo and mags.... having a back up gun is a good thing :-)

  7. I always appreciate clubs that get the scores up in a timely manner.... Circleville is definitely one of those places! Thanks Chris!
  8. Have you looked at the Unique-Tek micrometer for the powder bars? I use one for my 40 loads and it is VERY consistent. Might be worth taking a look at as well as the type of powder as some seem to meter better than others.
  9. Wideners has new LC brass that does not have the crimped primer pocket. http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=8996
  10. First match on the 2011 calendar. Buckeye Challenge was a good time, I'm sure this match will be great as well.
  11. What, set the mag next to the well and slap it in and go? JT Yep.. That's the one... Of all the matches that I've shot, that is the first time seeing it... Yet, it's so obvious after seeing it.. Yep, time to practice that one in the basement. We'll have to do a few table starts at Midwest!
  12. which Bolen pad are you using 3mm? thanks Yes, 3mm.
  13. I'm using Bolens springs, followers, and base bads on all my STI mags. The tubes have been tuned ... 4 of them hold 20 reloadable and 1 is 21 reloadable.
  14. The Edge ran like a top on Sunday. I guess it needed a little shorter ammo and a bump in up in powder. Now I'm hoping the Bedell will run on the same ammo.

  15. NT (Federal and Win) brass has the crimped primer... I have coffee can full of the crap so now I go through it and pick them out when I run the brass through the Grx die. Regular Federal brass is pretty good.
  16. Definitely worth the drive up. Already looking forward to the match next month...we promise that we won't let SLM break anything next month. G-Man Bart - nice meeting you and putting a face to a name. Nice shooting. Aaron
  17. Randolph County, NC..... I've lived there two times in my short life. Both times in Asheboro. And I think you made a good choice with the 550, I have one with another on the way.
  18. You are correct on the 892 fps, but that gets your right at 165pf. I would suggest that you will want to be at 925 fps, which will put you at 171 pf and give yourself some cushion for chrono variation.
  19. The Edge had too many hiccups this weekend. Time to try some different length ammo until the Bedell is returned

  20. I'm at 5.2g N320 at 1.185 with Montana Gold 180g FMJ to make major out of my 5" Schuemann barrel. You'll just have to chrono a lot of different loads to see what works best. This is a good place for reference as well: http://www.k8nd.com/ipscload.htm
  21. Need to pull the handle on the 550

  22. Must resist the urge to move to Open..... made a deal with myself that I won't switch until I make 'A' in Limited
