  1. I made the mistake of telling my wife we were getting a refund so I guess we're going to use it on a vacation of her choice, instead of a gun of my choice.
  2. There were a few responses and you even posted in the thread.
  3. Too bad there are about three loads listed with this powder!! (OK, I didn't actually count them all but I sure didn't see very many)
  4. I posted the same question a couple of weeks ago. I'll let you know as soon as they arrive. The 140's were on back order but should be shipped either later this week or early next week.
  5. Here is the stippling on my Bedell Limited gun. I can't take credit for doing it as it came this way from Dan. I like it better than the dots/circles.
  6. To get the list started .... Grams Engineering, Adrian at Mag Blue Printing, and Shooters Connection sells Superior tuned mags.
  7. I just ordered 7 cases from Manny -- 124g CMJ's. The MG direct price was $293 per case. The price from Manny was $277 per case. I'll gladly keep the $16 per case
  8. N320 meters great for me but I also use the Unique-tek micrometer powder bar.
  9. +1 on a Bedell limited gun. Mine just flat out runs.
  10. That was going to be my suggestion as well. Either the 4" or 5"
  11. If you don't want to shoot MG's, then I would look at Precision Delta although they might not be that much cheaper. Your other options are lead or moly coated like Blacks Bullets (BBI), or Precision Bullets, Billy bullets, etc.
  12. OK, I'm probably being a little optimistic but.... I'm looking forward to shooting outdoors again.
  13. Just curious, when is the first match of 2011 at Circleville - Pickaway County Sportsmen Club? Thanks.
  14. Anyone using these mags in a 9 open gun? Anyone use them for an entire season yet? Looking to get some tuned mags for an open gun that is on the way. Thanks.
  15. G-Rx die here. Gives me a chance to give the brass a once over before it goes to the press.
  16. I just got mine back from Dan Burwell and it turned out great. I think he had it for 2 weeks and that included the time in transit. I did the competition trigger job and shark skin stippling.
  17. Interesting read on 40 Lite loads...... http://www.handgunsmag.com/ammunition/40lite_091806/index1.html
  18. I got mine back from Dan Burwell and the work he did was awesome, the trigger feels great. I'm going to shoot this in production for a while. I hope it is just a matter of time before USPSA updates the approved list.
  19. Good info.... I'm going to load some of these up as well to run over a chrono. Mine will be shot through a M&P Pro. I have some 4.0g loaded up now to test as well.
  20. 2 550's sitting on the bench. One hasn't been used yet but the plan is to set it up for 223. The other one I have tool heads for 9, 40, and 45. I also have a Lee single stage press that I use with the Redding GRx die.
  21. I've probably gauged close to 4,000 rounds since I started loading 40. I have never had a single round fail the case gauge after using the U die. I don't think I'll be using the gauge for any rounds I load going forward.
  22. . . . Hey ncboiler, if you don't mind me asking, why do you GRX and then run through a Udie? That seems like overkill unless I'm missing something. I am back and forth between the two options but never considered using both. I plan to wait until I get my gun to see what will and won't chamber before committing either. I do it because I'm OCD Partially kidding..... I do it because it gives me a chance to inspect the brass, mostly for headstamps to weed out the NT brass. I used to do the U die on a single stage and I had a few pieces of brass that were basically "squished" for a lack of a better term.... the glock belly became worse. I bought the U die first but wanted to try the carbide version of the GrX. The GrX is much faster in the single stage press than the U die. I haven't had a round fail the case gauge after using the U die so I continue to use it. Also there is less stress on the press handle after running the brass thru the GrX die before the U die. I load the S&B brass as well. Yes the primer pockets are tighter but the primers will go in, just have to finesse it a little
  23. The only 40 brass that I throw in a box to be messed with at a later time is the Fed NT and the Win NT brass. This crap has the crimped primer pocket I have been using the Redding GrX die on the single stage press so that is where I do my inspection. The U die is in station 1 on the dillon 550.
  24. I started off with buying just the tubes, springs, and follower methodology. They worked OK but my FGW tuned mags have been 100%. They all hold 20 reloadable (Bolens springs and followers) and I can get 21 in a couple of them and get them to seat in the gun for the start of a stage if so desired. I also have a Rescomp tuned tube that is 21 reloadable, I can get 22 in it but I can't get it seated in the gun. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gone straight to the tuned FGW mags and been done with it.
