  1. Hello, I am interested in trying 3n38, my only concern if there is still room for seating the bullet, how full is 8.8gr. of 3n38? thanks There is some room, but it is a compressed load. I'll take a picture tonight.
  2. Ooops ........... I will scan it on Monday and post it. The magazine is at work. Sorry about that.
  3. Been shooting rifle in the snow this winter but this weekend will be the first outdoor USPSA match. Very much looking forward to it.
  4. If you don't and want this one let me know. I don't think my co-worker wants the magazine back.
  5. A co-worker brought in an American Handgunner magazine from November/December 1984. Below is the picture of the cover and the story that goes along with it. Enjoy.
  6. I will .... maybe at Circleville in a couple of weeks!!
  7. I didn't know where this topic should go so ..... How long does it take to get a custom serial numbered frame from STI? Thanks.
  8. I always had the crimp set to .420 on my 40 loads as well. I used a U die though and think that helps prevent set back.
  9. On the turn and draw, make sure you turn into your gun. In other words, your gun is on your right hip, turn to your right. Otherwise if you turn to your left and get the gun out of the holster too fast you'll break the 180. Turning to your right you only have to go a short distance to pass the 180 and you're good .
  10. I tested some ammo over the chrono tonight. All strings were 10 shots. 11. Sweet looking guns for sure. 2 out of 3 top Open shooters at Nationals (both men and women) were using Limcat guns last year.
  12. Thanks Flex. Found it here ... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7430&hl=steve%20anderson&st=0
  13. Anyone using a Matt McLearn open gun? Show some pictures
  14. Would you build an open gun on a long/wide dustcover frame? Why or why not? Any advantages or disadvantages to doing so? Thinking about a build in the coming months and this is one of the options. Thanks.
  15. I tested some ammo over the chrono last weekend. Both strings were 10 shots. 8.5g VV 3N38 124g Montana Gold CMJ OAL 1.175" Mixed brass Tula small rifle primers String 1: High: 1375 Low: 1312 E.S.: 63 Ave: 1354.6 SD: 21.9 PF: 167 String 2: High: 1370 Low: 1326 E.S.: 44 Ave: 1340 SD: 13.7 PF: 166 Will bump it up 0.2g and do some more chrono testing to see if I can get some cushion ... 171-172 PF would be ideal. Actually I'm going to try 8.7, 8.8, and 8.9 I think.
  16. Looking forward to it Jeff. Nice to have someplace a little closer to shoot outdoors!
  17. Too bad you're not local, I have 16 lbs that I am going to try to sell since I'm not shooting limited anymore. N320 is the way to go with 40. I was using 5.2g and 180g MG FMJ's at 1.160 - 1.185 (Depending on the gun).
  18. You should have a few from NE Ohio showing up either today or tomorrow.
  19. Full size gun or shorty? Any holes? Thanks.
  20. I am by no means an expert on mine but I used it yesterday outdoors with no covers and it worked fine. I have used it indoors as well with no cover and again it worked fine. I don't see how putting cardboard over the top indoors would hurt anything but I'm not sure it's required outside. One thing that I did wrong yesterday was one of the sensors was not pushed all the way on to the bar. This will cause the readings to be off and now I have to make another trip out to re-chrono. I should be a little faster next time but I want to confirm.
  21. All the guys there have been great to deal with .... especially lately as I kept adding items to my order. Your experience sounds like many others
