  1. We haven’t seen any interruptions in the supply chain. They have been on point and met my demands at a minutes notice.
  2. That’s just how we roll. A day or so back on 9-135s due to people putting in orders for multiple cases right now but should have it caught back up over the weekend.
  3. Not all coated bullet manufacturers are behind. I shipped all of yesterday’s orders this afternoon.
  4. We don’t print out the label until it is ready to ship. We don’t keep labels just laying around. The USPS problem here is not with the Alamo office even though I despise the postmaster there. It is with the Memphis hub which is down over 400 employees due to COVID. The reason it show leaving Alamo is because it has and it will sit in a truck in Memphis until they have the personnel to unload. Starting Monday will be shipping all 500 and 1000 Qty orders UPS as well as a 48 lb UPS case. We will continue to use USPS for the 65lb case but each case will be fully insured at no additional cost. We always made sure to warn everyone on our website of the USPS delays but then again not everyone pays attention to those details and included what the options are if the product gets severely delayed ( past 28 days). Actually had an order shipped in 7/19 that showed up on 8/3. I always love to here all of the speculation and conspiracy theories that go on when stuff like this is happening.
  5. I use clays for my 40 load. 200gr BBI with 3.8 clays at 1.200. No smoke at all
  6. Plated 9mm bullets are typically 0.355 diameter while coated lead are 0.356. The bullets are sized after coating so the coating does not add to the OD of the bullet.
  7. Send me some close up pictures of loaded ammunition. Leading should not be occuring. It may be something we can fix easily. Also..what is your reloader and die setup?
  8. Send me some pictures of loaded ammo along with a description of the load. bbibullets@gmail.com
  9. Sorry about your dissatisfaction with the product and our service. With your level of disgust I am refunding the cost of the 125s from your order. Keep the projectiles that you have as there is no need to return them. Good luck in your reloading and competitive shooting ventures.
  10. Wait, does this mean I'll need to retest my loads for the bullet without the groove?Wouldn't not having the groove mean the bullet will be shorter if it still weighs 180gr? The testing we did showed a small difference in velocities. I would check it just for due diligence and peace of mind.
  11. The best powders I have found for 40 in a coatef bullet is N320, WST, Ramshot Comp. I like Clays as well but some are too scared to use it.
  12. The BBI 40-180 no longer has a lube groove. We launched it yesterday. Just a heads up.
  13. With the shape of the .40 bullet, I would suspect that a soft bullet like those may have more drag, than a pointy bullet like in 9mm. The .40 is a little more finicky when loading from slide lock. IMHO you don't save any money and get and inferior bullet with moly or black bullets. Also Berry's bullets are garbage, I wouldn't run them ever again. They are the softest plated bullet by far and are probably why plated bullets get a bad rap. Rainier are a little harder and are excellent, then Xtremes are even harder (and my personal preference). If you buy bulk from Xtreme you can get the cost down. .40 RNFP are like $87/k delivered when you buy in bulk. I wouldn't go any heavier of a spring than a 9lb on a .40 minor gun, or you start to lose that nice "flat shooting" feel of the Tanfoglios. Oh and like others have said, on a straight case round like the .40, having enough crimp is very critical to good feeding. I tend to disagree with your assessment. The lead that BBI uses is certified 92/6/2 lead with a BHN of 18. This is actually harder than the plated manufacturers use. Lead will always be more accurate than plated....always.WJM - give me a call and we can help you thru some of your issues
  14. That is just how we operate for any person dissatisfied with our products. We strive to deliver products catering to competitive shooters needs. If in the shooters mind we don't deliver we try to make it right. This is an expensive sport and nobody should use something they don't feel is right for them.
  15. I run a Tim Calhoun 5.4" sight tracker. It is night and day from a 5 in ldc bull gun. It's the best combination in limited that I have ever used.
  16. Zzt, I looked into the variation that you were see on the 200gr bullet and found a mold issue. That mold out of our set of 8 has been taken out of service and is being replaced. What kind of powder are you using? I personally use both clays and wst in 40 and haven't found them to stink like you reference.
  17. I have a DAA bullet feeder and use the BBI 200. No issues at all.
  18. Shipping costs are included in BBI pricing.
  19. Typical powder charge reduction from jacketed to coated is around 8 to 10 percent for the same power factor. Use lead load data for coated lead bullets. As far as feel when the adrenaline get going it's hard to tell.
  20. BBI is 6.7 cents per bullet for the 125s when purchased by the case. That is shipped pricing.
  21. Clawson Our next generation of 40-180 will be a no lube groove design. Our current molds still have life left so until they are no longer making good bullets we don't see the need to purchase new. The no lube groove design offers some efficiencies for the coating process but as far as accuracy or loading we have not seen an advantage.
  22. Check your Chrono with an established factory load.
  23. They are both the same profile. The mold is a Magma Engineering mold.
  24. There are spacers and adjustments that can be changed to make it work properly. There is a screw on the underside where a slide adjustment is and spacers used to change the drop depth. Took me about 30 seconds to get it running 100%.
