  1. I would also invite you to give Black Bullets International a try. We plan on taking orders once again around April 8th. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the loading process for moly vs. jacketed. They are different and certain guidelines need to be maintained in order to ensure a trouble free experience.
  2. Thanks Henry - I was getting confused. We plan on opening orders back up in a couple of weeks but with several tons worth of inventory on the shelf and back to our next day shipping model. Thanks for everyone's patience as we now hope to be better equipped to deal with the volume fluctuation.
  3. Henry I am curious myself how you placed an order. There are no selectable products in the store and I have not received any notifications of orders since I closed the store down while we get caught up. Please send me a copy of your order number and confirmation. Very puzzled right now. Chandler BBI CEO Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  4. We are running as fast as we can. 16 hours a day and 7 days a week since January. Currently the backlog is less than 2 weeks on most orders. If it grows to 4 weeks we will discontinue taking orders as well to get fully caught back up with a substantial inventory on the shelf. We do appreciate the orders and are trying diligently not to disappoint. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  5. What length are you loading at? Clays is sensitive to case volume which is affected by OAL. My load for the 200rn is 4.3 Clays at 1.24. For the 200 swc I use 4.2 @ 1.245. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  6. JoeD He is entitled to his opinion. That's correct. My opinion is for a person to come on a forum and with only 2 post start sounding like a infomercial is a bit overzealous. I wish his business venture the best. Used moly for years and I don't think its dirty. My opinion as well but that is a matter of perspective. Have a great evening and my apologies for intruding on this thread. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  7. Saying things about moly bullets. Not cool to to talk bad about someones product. That would be like me saying that painted bullets cause cancer. Have a little respect please. I don't downgrade ur or anyones product * don't disrespect mine. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  8. I was disappointed as well. The molds were shot and when the new molds came in the bullets weighed in at 125. Rather than scrap them and start over I decided to keep them and pick up the 135 gr molds in Q1 of 2013 to add to our product offering. For 9mm VV-n320 performed best for me with WST and Solo100 as a good backup. For 40 -WST is my goto and I use clays for 45. Give us a call sometime and we will see if we can help you work out the load.
  9. I dont know how that can happen. Since I took over in February we have processed hundreds of thousands of bullets with nothing like that. I I used BBI before I bought the company and I have always had some coating rub off on my finger when loading. It did the same with Precision, Bayou - although a green coating at the time, and Bear Creek. Thanks for the heads up in the fact that it could happen though. It may have been possible that the coating was out of shelf life or something like that . Anyways - like I said give us a try again and I think you will be pleased.
  10. njl I have owned BBI since February of 2012 and have never been contacted regarding an issue for coating on the an bullet. We have not manufactured the 130 since April of 2012 when the molds were replaced with with a 125TC. When were they purchased and replaced? Your issues may have come from previous ownership. I invite you to try us again and I am certain you will be satisfied with the changes.
  11. Kinda curious when you got 130gr BBI. I have owned the company since February of this year and don't remember any complaints on "bad" coating since I have took over. We also don't make a 130gr anymore - it is a 125TC that replaced the 130 because the molds were shot.
  12. My issue with my XDM 40 was similar. Cast lead 40 is normally sized to 0.401 which is what I normally size all 40 BBI bullets to as well. I was seeing a few rounds scrap the coating on the edge of the chamber. I was loaded to 1.135 OAL with my 165 grain BBI with casing that had been thru a GRX. I decided to size the bullets down to 0.400 to see what would happen. It worked great. No more issues. Another customer had the same experience and we sized him down to 0.400 as well. Just a thought. 14. We have seen a couple of lead price increases from our supplier and absorbed most of them over the last few months since we got started. I did some comparisons and we are still competitive with the others. After talking with my supplier today they assured me things are stabilizing. We also made our costs all inclusive for shipping and CC fees. Hopefully its the last increase for a while.
  15. Definitely not a good idea. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  16. A friend is loading 4.0 at 1.12 for the same 133pf. I have a hot lot that takes less but each is a bit different. Let me know how they work out and if they meet your expectations. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  17. The website has been updated with a products tab in the upper right. There are pictures of each product on that page. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  18. I happen to have 1st hand experience that BBI is back open and accepting orders.
  19. Corey Are you guys going to have another classifier match like last year? I am making a move to SS and need to get classified prior. My application and waiver will be in the mail soon. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks all. There are a couple of things I will be working on during my next setup based on some info from Shay Akai at Akai Custom. He pointed me into looking at my bell during powder fill and crimp. My bell was excessive causing me to overcrimp. However directky underneath the case mouth it would have a bulge. I also plan on reducing the OAL to 1.125. I also noticed the bell was slightly offset which means I am going to pull all of the dies and start from scratch to try to get better centering. Thanks for all the assistance.
  21. Kalaur - Yes the barrel is really clean - I wont use it as a gage until it is cleaned. I do not load FMJ so I have no idea what they do. THanks - I will try decreasing the bell. Azrik - I use the Whidden machined head for the 550 but not the floating head - might be worth a try. Thanks
  22. The Lee Factory Crimp die and Molys dont mix. They specifically call it out not to use on their website. I did a search on the forums and it is a definite no-no. Thanks for the suggestion but I am just to cautious to try that one.
  23. Ok this is what I found but I dont know how to fix it. I started checking the same ammo out of my Nighthawk T3 40 barrel. Most would fully seat but a few would not. I then put a sharpie to the case to see where the interference was and this is what I found. http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb367/idpalafrain/2011-10-31193541.jpg Either the bullet is out of round or it is seating in the case crooked. I did notice that several rounds just fell right in on the nighthawk barrel where that never happens on the STI.
  24. I know it is not the bulge because the raw cases pass case gage with no issues. When i chamber check a sized case same thing - passes 100%. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
  25. I have an STI Eagle in 40 S&W and I have been having a repeated problem with my loads not fully chambering. Here is what I am loading: 180 Gr. BBI and Bayou 3.3 N320 OAL is 1.135 Here is what I load with: Dillon 550 EGW U die and the rest are Dillon Brass is presized with a carbide GRX What I am seeing: when chamber checking the rounds they will not fully seat. I get about 1/32" above the length of the hood that still sticks out. When I fully press them in and pull them back out I get some shaving of the moly coating in 1 area of the bullet. This happens to 100% of what I am producing. They will run when I see this and I know if it gets longer than the 1/32 that i need to throw it out. When I chrono I get some 60fps variations which is way more that the 9mm I produce on the same press (usually less than 12). I have checked crimp, bullet size, etc. It will fully chamber factory FMJ loads. There is no way possible to load longer (as I would like) because it gets worse the longer it gets. I am at wits end and on the edge of sending it off for a new barrel. The only other thought I had was to back it down in OAL. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
