  1. Speaking as a CRO from last year, any of you that still want to help will be warmly welcomed and appreciated by those of us who have worked it before and are doing it again. Like money, looks and bullets, you can never have too much, including help at the FL Open!
  2. And here I am just finding out about this for the first time in mid January 2013. Membership can't respond to what they don't know about.
  3. Done. A one time payment, no payment plan. I had recently renewed my annual, they told me this is separate and distinct from the annual. No refund on the annual or application of the money to the lifetime. I would hope they make an exception in your case, Scott!

    Glock 34 Kaboom

with most of the gas's going down the magwell and out the extractor it's not all that common for the slide to be alright. although take a real good look at the outside of the chamber, mine had real small cracks on both sides. tightgroup is a fast burning powder that doesn't take up very much room in the case, can you get a double charge in the case? with that much damage done to the frame it sure sounds like an overload. FWIW I also use 3.4g TG and 147 grain, but not plated. A double charge takes powder up high in the case and would be noticeable if you are looking. The bullet would definitely feel resistance when you went to seat it. I've made doubles just to see if I can detect them in the process and I can on my 550 and 650. Not sure what press the OP was using.

    Titanium plunger

It is more than just the polishing of the part, it is the rounding of the ledge that allows for the smoother break.
  6. Tried this on my 650, could not get it to reliably work, and it really did not give me any speed improvements over manual. YMMV.
  7. having the same problem with a new nook I scored. Found a program to return the nook to version 1.0, then loaded the 1.1 update on to the root folder. Turned it on, it updated to 1.1 and rooting did commence.
  8. Got two strips with my kit, the shorter three light and the longer one. I messed around with different layouts and configurations but never really got anything to the point where I had light shining into the case aat station 3 on my 650, which is my "eyeball" station.
  9. I ordered this LED kit and it does illumintae in the shell plate area BUT I do not get the light into the case like I get with my gooseneck halogen. It is a nice product, and it does illuminate very nicely. However, for me, the light is not where I want it to be - into the case. So I stay with my nice, bright, into the case gooseneck.
  10. Had an issue a season or two ago where my 147's would keyhole every 3-4 rounds. Switched barrels in the gun, no more keyholes. Put barrel back in - keyholes. Granted this is a minor load but still something to consider.
  11. Tried another method on 1 of 5 NST's that I now have to do that I did not like, so I deregistered, reloaded stock and then rooted with this method. Worked like a charm. Maybe 15 minutes to do it with this method. I agree with losing the market stuff as long as practiscore can continue to be a seperate dl that can be installed.
  12. LOL! No, he'll play Reacher's brother!
  13. Nice and timely. One of our clubs picked up 5 of them and I seem to be the desingated rooter....
  14. Aside from the name of the character and some plot points, no real relation to the Reacher we have come to know so well.
  15. Like the others, I have plenty of light, with a fixture right above my presses but sometimes you just want more. I like the goose-neck halogen I have, but it takes up counter space.
  16. You can always join us folks from Western PA that plan to work/shoot.
  17. I would not mix. I'd look at changing your shoots to having hard cover or some other way to make the shot more challenging. One range lawyer arguing a no shoot and your stages get thrown out.
  18. At some of our clubs, prop storage is very close to the stages. At others, it is not and they have to be trucked/hauled in. Factors like this increase the setup time and can cause some people to not want to help. So in this regard, the closer the props to the stage location, the easier and quicker to do. Walls - get away from stockades as they are heavy and require two people per to lift and carry. Light wood frames with cloth or screening over them allows one person to handle that prop without getting overwhelmed. Connecting walls. Some clubs screw them together, and at one, they zip tie their lightweight walls together. At this club, one person can tear down an entire complicated stage, including steel, because the storage is right there, no need for a drill, as a sharp twist on the walls will break the zip. Prop support - spikes. Most clubs have short spikes, easy to drive in and tear out. Others have foot longs that are a royal PIA. Just some factors I've seen.
  19. I would suggest adding a gooseneck lamp to shine light right down on the shellplate so you can absolutley see into that case. Did that with my 550, now I do the same with my 650. Any problems I have had with ammo on either is my fault, not the presses.
  20. 147 Zero JHP, 3.4 grains Titegroup, 1.132. 138-140 PF. Feels exactly like the Zero 125 JHP with 4.1 grains Titegroup at 1.126 PF aroudn 135=137.
  21. Remember that if you do that in a match shooting Production, you are in Open..... I used to have a landing strip, got rid of it (as a production shooter) and my reloads are just as sharp and fast without it.
