  1. Mark community read then mark all read works for me.
  2. Those are part of any equation. As are bullet weight and power factor you are running. A heavier recoil rod also helps.
  3. What will you gain by that infinitesimal difference in material?
  4. Just did a run with a contour after two matches where I was filmed by squad mates. While the POV is interesting - and verifies that I do not put my finger in the trigger guard during reloads, it showed me nothing of my draw, target acquisition, moment, placement, etc. I seemed faster with the POV as opposed to the outsider camera. The POV "felt" like the run while the other camera did not. I swear I moved faster than the outside camera showed, or maybe the camera adds time (like weight!) Maybe I'll try and find a way to merge the two and see. It was really cool to watch without a doubt, but compared to the total filming by others, no comparison at all.
  5. 4.1 grain Titegroup 1.132 137 pf (approx off of older data. have not chrono'd yet)
  6. Thanks, but those are not it. I think I may have found it, though. I think it is the Quinetics "quick chuck", and that sounds real familiar though I can find no credit card records, but I may not have gone back enough.
  7. Here is a pic. You can see that one side of the collet remains open.
  8. This is a slick little collet, I should take a pic of it. Looks like a regular collet but the band around it only covers three side so insertion and removal only requires a slight release of tension on the tightening plastic ring. Probably read about it on here somewhere years ago, went to the web site and bought one, but as I said, can't remember the name or the site.
  9. Too bad the two of them don't visit the site. Would be nice to hear from them on their thoughts.
  10. Oops, meant impact, not inertia.
  11. A number of years ago I purchased a collet for an inertia bullet puller that has one open side, as opposed to the usual closed, three part collet. For the life of me I can't remember what it was called or where I got it. Anyone have a clue?
  12. On a more humorous side, you know, this could also be interpreted that ammo - meaning loose rounds, must be on the table and the reload is the insertion of the ammo into the magazine. Likewise, if all ammo to be used is not used, is that a procedural for not following the wsb? Never saw ammo to be used, always saw magazines. Kind of the clip vs magazine deal.
  13. Just made the jump and retired my Fascinate for a Galaxy S3. Awesome phone. Rooted, unlocked and custom ROM installed within 10 minutes of receiving it. Made a great phone even better.
  14. LOL! Where the hell are you guys getting all this news? Guess I'm not in the loop...
  15. Interesting point. I have always defaulted to the hands at sides no matter what the position of my feet were unless stated otherwise. Hence my question in post #51. I read it differently. I haven't told you not to stand erect, to face uprange, or do anything else w/ your hands. I haven't "specified otherwise." to me, "heels on marks" is no different than "in box A" or "starting in the shooting area" Maybe I'm not in the majority in my interpretation. But I'm not alone. Regardless which is right, some people are doing/officiating it wrong. Perhaps the "default" needs removed, and we go back to doing whatever the hell you want unless specified (which is what adding the default was trying to get away from)... I think the grammar supports what I'm saying. 1) go to start position 2) stand the default way unless told different. It's not a default "start position." It's a default way to stand. I'm not trying to say "I'm right, you're wrong." I'm saying "WTH is the RIGHT read?" 8.2.2 The competitor assumes the start position as specified in the written stage briefing. Unless otherwise specified, the competitor must stand erect, facing downrange, with arms hanging naturally by the sides. -rvb
  16. Or just slap a Burris Fastfire on one and shoot as is. Instant Open with factory or reloads..
  17. An update to this post. Just had some friends film me shooting last week and again yesterday with my own hd camera. Have not seen last weeks yet,but based on what I saw yesterday, I don't need anyone else to critique me - glaring examples (to me) and I shot pretty well. Much better than the head cam or eyeglass cam.
  18. Purple. Danced with joy when Rudy came out with purple for the Rydon.
  19. Welcome. Visit Western PA Section for more info.
  20. Different people respond differently to a DQ. Had one guy who dropped a gun during a cof a few seasons ago, was visibly shook. Stayed around for the rest of the day - never came back. Another shooter recently DQ'd - AD, visibly shaken, left for the day, has been back every match since and also is a helper in setting up and tearing down. For those of you commenting on behavior, who do you give kudo's to? I think all of you are too harsh on folks who live in fear of a dq, then have it happen and it shakes them to their core. What inner character is shown if they stay the day and never come back versus take a few hours to get composed, come back and are an integral part of local clubs? S$%t happens, we all deal with it differently.
  21. Dan, find what works for you and go with that. I've watched you shoot and have shot with you, and you are too good a shooter to let equipment stand in your way.
  22. Great video. The 650 is a bullet machine when you get going.
  23. Talk with Eric at McDonald. he can give you the Tangfolio skinny.
  24. 6. You can never be too smart, too pretty, have to much money or too many magazines in production.
