  1. Hehe sorry I did the same.. That is I read the end of your post after I already posted my last response! Chris G.
  2. I think you're mixing what I said up. I sold my XD in favor of purchasing an M&P. Thanks for put in the info gentlemen. Chris
  3. I did the same thing with my XD pistol a while back when I first bought it.. that is, I first send it out to have a trigger job done. The reason for this is because most of the drop in kits don't lower the trigger pull significantly. On that subject, can anyone also name a gunsmith who can buiold an extremely light pull pistol, specifically 2.0 lbs no higher. Also, is that possible with these pistols, because the gunsmith from Powder River said the lowest he could get it was around 3.5 Thanks for your responses, ahead of time. Chris G

Master or GM shooting a Trubor

I'm curious to hear about the shooters who have qualified as Master or GM using a Trubor or Trubor variant....i.e. Steelmatch. I ask because I feel it'd be a bad idea to spend almost 5k on my first OPEN gun, This way, if I bought a Trubor I would have a gun to practice and compete with while saving money and getting experience. I understand that it has a lot more to do with the competitor than the gun, but I'd be mor... Thanks for you time. Chris G.

    Is this gun any good?

I was searching for a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 and found this. http://www.mannyusa.com/Firearms_Training/product/Caspian51AKB.html Is it basically the same thing or should I find an exact TM hi capa match? I'm not looking to spend much more than $120 so this would work great if it's just as good as a TM. Thanks for any future replies. Chris G.
  7. Does anyone know the weight of the standard full size open pistol that JPL Precision builds and if it compares to the weight of the other custom Open pistols in it's price range.. i.e. bedell, brazos..etc.$3700 price range.. Thank you.
  8. I'm looking specifically for Kindle edition.
  9. I'd like to download this for my Kindle but there's nothing available on Amazon and I was wondering if anyone knew of another location to purchase it from? Or a used paperback that anyone might be looking to sell.

Which stance do you use during matches?

As said, I like the isosceles stance most but tend to put my weak hand foot (left) out front a bit more than my right, just for stability. I guess you would call that a, modified? Isosceles ?

    Resource to purchase airsoft pistol?

Will this http://www.mannyusa.com/Firearms_Training/product/Caspian51AKB.html work with an Open Style Holster or is the barrel going to be too small diameter and I'll be forced to purchase an airsoft specific one?
  13. So i'm trying to exhaust any possible training techniques to use/do at home. Aside from dry fire stuff I came to the conclusion that airsoft may be a good way to go with targets from BAM for USPSA Practice. My question is what is a good choice to best replicate an Open 5" full size pistol with functioning slide (all metal gun) which will work with a CR Speed Open pistol holster (WSM II for example) and where I can purchase one? I did some searching on the site and online and have found a few resources, but wanted to hear what you all have to say. Ty. Chris

Sorry. Did a quick search and didn't find anything.
  15. Isosceles, weaver, modified weaver, something different than these? Just curious. Until reading a few books recently I never really put a name to the way I naturally found best suited for the way I shoot. The Isosceles stance is how I seem to naturally find most comfortable and accurate.
