  1. Glad to hear ya'lls experience. I am thinking of giving it a try the first of the year, as I heard there will be 3-Gun at Frostproof, Fl. I have a M&P 40, my old patrol rifle, but only a standard 870 that holds very few shells. I'm thinking I can grab a used 1100 and do a few things to it without great expense.
  2. Did you buy the 5" slide directly from Smith and Wesson? In .40 or 9mm?
  3. Great news. Been there, done that. Your effort and has been rewarded. Don't ease up on the rehab. Even when you think your 100%, hang in there a little longer.
  4. New season starts next week. They sured ended in a cool way. Lots of loose ends to tie up.
  5. Thanks for the reminder. I know this, but I don't do it consistantly. But I can!!!!
  6. I have always included a classifier when I MD major matches. I think that how you shoot in a state level match should count towards your classifier. Like others said above, this is a major match, so people will try harder on a classifier at this match than at a local match. We will be going with a higher round count classifier, so if you are looking to place in your division/class, you are going to want to shoot it well. Will the classifier remain a secret?? Only asking cause it is my first stage.
  7. +1 I like this as well, because of the structure of the course. Each practise is totally planned.

  9. I am also in Lakeland. There are great places to shoot almost every weekend that are less than 90 minutes away. We are very lucky. Let me know if you need locations. Welcome
  10. Welcome, you will find plenty to keep you occupied here in central Florida!!
  11. Yep, put your name on it cause they will disappear. Great loader
  12. +1 on this. I am trying to recover from rotator cuff surgery and both my shooting skills and physical skills have diminished a bunch.
  13. Nothing like having zombies laying on you 3 deep
  14. +1, generally out of date, rehashed, and will often flip on issues depending upon which magazine he is "writting" for.
  15. Well, I was able to force the threaded nut out of the plastic spacer. That took care of the tension devise. But the gun just does not fit in the holster. It seems the brazos scope mount needs to settle in, and it just won't. I was hoping that a little fileing on the inside edges might relive it cause it looks as if it is very close. Well, I guess it wasn't as close as it looked. I may just put it back together and have it for my back-up gun, which is my old Para. I'm afraid this holster has kicked my butt. I guess I will research the DAA and CR Speed and decide what direction to go.
  16. Yep, nobody could miss that. I am still laughing about the table cloth trick. haha
  17. I have an 012 that I converted to a 013, so I'm not 100% on this, but.. You should be able to push the flange nut out of the spacer and reinsert it into the mechanism minus the spacer..; Thread the screw in partially (1/3+-) and then support "around" the nut & push the nut out.. Thanks, that makes sense, I'll give it a try.
  18. Okay, so now I need help. I am changing from a 1911 to a 2011. I took out the spacer, but then the tension screw would not thread back in because the thread end is attached to the spacer and does not seem to be easy to remove. What now.
  19. I'm gonna give it at least another week. I have no clue who is behind it, but my question is where have they been??
