  1. I have a Ghost holster for my Para, works for both open and limited guns.
  2. Yes they are but you may have to adjust the feed lips for your gun. Jim has some good videos on utube for setting the feed lips and working on mka mags.
  3. I just got a upper from ar15parts.com for my PSA glock lower. Not side charging and didn't know if I would like their handguard either. I really like the handguard and will be putting rounds down range this weekend. JP Enterprises GMR-13 is a side charging upper.
  4. Shotgun shells were not not meant to be feed from a box magazine. It takes a good quality shell/hull to take that kind of abuse. There is a learning curve to running and maintaining a box fed shotgun. I have a Tac-12 and wish I got to use it more. Had a RO almost got mad at me telling me to get my shotgun for the second time. Realized he was talking to me and held magazine out, he was good then.
  5. There will be a strong field at the match, practice if you got the rounds.
  6. Thanks to Jay, Jomar, Brian and all the other folks that made this match happen. This was a great match and thanks to the sponsors for their generous donations. Looking forward to coming back again and taking down the heavy pipes
  7. Fast miss is better than a slow miss! If you miss fast you can pick up the miss sooner. This is one of my friends rules for shooting steel.
  8. Go to the contact us section at bottom of web page and there is a couple of other numbers for parks administrators. The RV pads are in a good place and protected from the Nebraska winds.
  9. Yes, they have RV pads on the range. Look up Heartland Shooting Park in Grand Island, NE and contact them about getting a spot.
  10. They will be fine in the garage for a week, as long as it stays above freezing.
  11. Just run your 40 like you would in a pistol match, not worth down loading. Harder to miss with the larger bullet! If you really get into it you can get a 9mm latter if you want.
  12. Sign up for FM email deals and they will send you the notices on daily deals.
  13. I recently shipped a scope mount to Canada for a customer and did it threw a exporter. Exporter took care of all paperwork dealing with ITAR and customs for both sides of border. If part attaches to the firearm it would be under ITAR the way I understood it. Not worth getting in trouble for find a exporter. Exporter charged one fee for each line item/part number. If multiple parts all the same part number it was one fee per part number. Customer may get several for friends and make export fees less per item. Customer pays all fees all I did was ship mount to exporter on USA side of the border.
  14. LEO markings does not prevent you from selling them. Only restrictions would be capacity depending where the buyer lives.
  15. The man on man is fun but would take a lot of time and be trouble over 2 day format. Newer shooters may shy away from man v man. How about something with the falling targets like: 20 targets, 10 for each pistol and rifle. Guns can start with 11rds. Run a separate string for each gun and use total time plus highest target down count.
  16. I got a 788 in 22-250 for my first rifle for varmints. Rifle is still very accurate with factory or hand loads, easily sob moa. The weak link in the rifle is the bolt handle attachment. I broke mine when I was running some neck sized loads for the rifle and not hot loads. Handle came off trying to open bolt after a shot. Sent bolt to gunsmith to get repaired and never came back. Rifle set for years and found gunsmith that could make new bolt assembly. Sent rifle to him got new bolt fitted for rifle and back up and running. Should of just scrapped the rifle but was first gun I learned to shoot long with. Keep the chamber clean and don't push your reloads the the edge of hard extraction.
  17. Pyrodex P would be very smokey and contains a lot of sulfur, smells like rotten eggs. If you don't clean muzzleloaders really good you will get corrosion from the sulfur. Never used in centerfire pistols and won't use it anymore in my cap/ball revolvers. Pyrodex P was very dirty in cap/ball revolvers.
  18. Can't go wrong with Taccom, give Tim a call if you have any specific questions. I have been running his barrels on dedicated uppers for a few years.
  19. You would need a new top end, slide and barrel fitted to the lower. The lower would also need a 9mm ejector.
  20. Could somebody please post the rules and match application in a pdf format? Where are people going for hotels, Sedalia area? With the range change will we need buckshot and or slugs? Thanks, Barry
  21. Watching some of the videos from the match and looks like a lot of fun. Would like to get in to this match next year, working with new shotgun now. Question on stage where you picked your shells off barrels as you went. How did open division shooters with box feed shotgun handle their shells? Just place magazine at each barrel? Barry
  22. Ordered some parts from saigastock.com last night and they shipped by noon today. Nanci at Firebird referred me to them for what I was looking for.
