No, because Ruger Rimfire differs from Steel Challenge type matches. In Ruger Rimfire you will shoot some stages pitol only, some rifle only and some will combine runs with both rifle and pistol. Some stages even have you transitioning from rifle to pistol in the same string. There are many videos on You-Tube you can watch and see the format. Tim If either firearm you shoot is considered open, you are in open division. Winner at end of match is combined pistol and rifle score. They will also break out high pistol and rifle scores but the combined total is winner. These matches are a good time, come out and shoot what you have. You can fine tune the way you want to runs your set ups later. There will be all skill levels at the state championship level matches. Barry

Browning offers two Buckmarks now with aluminum barrels factory standard. They both are the URX style grip and come in grey and green. Fiber optic front sight and barrel length is 5.5". Only difference from Tacsol barrel is fluting pattern.

Another vote for the Buckmark, was the first handgun purchased when I turned 21. Easy to take apart and maintain. Not picky on ammo, stay with high velocity. Browning also offers a model now that comes with a aluminum bull 5.5 inch barrel. Friend has one and it nice weight and shooting wise. Comes with fiber optic front sight. Gun comes in green and grey with newer style URX grip. Barrel is Tactical Solutions style(steel sleeve in aluminum) but the flutes are cut in different pattern. Wish they would of had this avaible years ago when I bought my last one! Haven't ran a Ruger but have friends that do.

The extractor is held in by the firing pin retainer/stop. You got to ask questions to learn, no bad questions.

Para 9mm high cap mags do not have spacers. Do not buy 38 super/9mm mags they are not the same as 9mm only mags. The difference is in the grooves in the sides of the mag bodies. Para 9mm only mags have 9mm on the front of the bodies.

Fiber is better at night than plain black. Fiber sight will get some glow off flashlight at night and be easier to pickup. Without lighting neither sight will do any good at night. Fiber sight is easier to track in a regular shooting match, best color is depends on shooter choice. If fiber rod breaks in the middle of a stage you still have a plain black sight to finish stage with.

Barrels are bent to adjust point of aim to point of impact for slugs if needed.

If you put one on backorder thru Midway USA, they fill backorders first before listing item to everyone else. If they have enough backorders to fill item in stock date changes and item never makes it open to everybody else. If you find one somewhere else you can cancel the backorder. I went thru this getting my Vortex scopes, the wait is not much fun.

The Nordic hand guard is threaded 10-32. Brownells has 10-32 sling studs that a QD swivel will attach to. Thhat is what I used on my rifle.

Shoot it and if runs go for it. When it gives you any problems, sleeve and a extractor. Millennium Custom and EGW both make the sleeves. Sleeve and extractor costs half what a power extractor does. Installation simple but you need to tension the extractor I switched the my P18 after problems, shooting it for about couple of years, no problems. I made my own sleeve and use a Caspian extractor.

Skunk Smell Remover 1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide 1 cup Baking Soda 1 teaspoon Liquid Dish Soap Mix all ingredients in an open bucket. Use a sponge or cloth to wipe down surface. Let peroxide evaporate and rinse surface. May use on animals just keep out of eyes and mouth. Been using this for years trapping. Chemist formula, can't be bottled due to peroxide reacting to baking soda.

When I load 30-06 on my 550 I used the large charge bar with H414. Have not ran H4895.

In good condition yes, new grade 1 will run $500.00 plus. Brownings hold there value well. Great little rifles, was my first 22 some 20 years ago. Still have and will not part with.

I don't know if Easy Loader is IDPA legal but get one if it is. They need to be fitted to the gun. Use the factory pin to attach to gun not the included roll pin. The roll pin will shear down the road from the Easy Loader cycling. Your barrel sounds like a slug barrel and may not allow the gun to run lighter shot loads. My slug barrel will only run 3.75 dram shot loads(heavy field). For 3 gun I run a 26" remchoke field barrel and it will run 1 1/8 factory loads. My 1100 was old and used when I bought it 18 years ago!

trapr In rimfire division can we run Black Dog drum magazines at full capacity on stages other than 10rd only stage? or Run the Black Dog drum mags down loaded to a certain capacity? Thanks Barry

Are you shooting through the winter? We shoot thru the winter, next match is Feb 6. We will be shooting 2 stages.

Central Iowa Practical Shooters shoot at Winterset the first Sunday of every month. We have a revolver division with about 12-15+ shooters a month. Start shooting at 10am but you don't have be there at the start. Winter usually getting done by 3pm. Let me know if you have any questions!

Look at Champion Easyhit fiber optic sight. Leave factory sight in place and these go on rib in front of bead. Sight is fast and easy to track.

Remove your gas block/gas tube assembly.Put reciever in vise block for support. Grip forward part of handguard with hands or srtap wrench and loosen/remove forward handguard, lefty loosey. Barrel nut holes recessed a little, standard armor wrench will not reach. Can use strap wrench, I made wrench that goes over barrel and has pins to engage barrel nut.
