  1. A 6.8 upper will go directly on you lower with the two take down pins. The 6.8 upper will need to have a 6.8 bolt, the bolt carrier is the same. You will also need 6.8 magazines. Lots of good information at the 68forums on this caliber. Just a little more boom but hits a lot harder than a 223/5.56, great for deer to 250yds. 308 will reach alot further, 6.8 will get the job done easily inside of 250yds for common field situations with less recoil.
  2. Sileride mounts to the rail base with the 2 cap screws that go all the way thru the body. Screws should not stick out below the rail base, if they do trim them shorter. Factory screws should not be to long but if someone changed them they may be.
  3. DPMS pattern magazines/ Magpul 308 pmags
  4. Run with what you got and try others guns to see the optics. You can watch the classfieds for a used Cmore, they come up often. If you are handy with a few tools you can modify a Cmore Serendipity into a Slideride. The 8 or 12 moa dot is the most comon size dot for SC. Make sure the gun runs and have fun!
  5. They do that. Why not take them off? They make it easier to rack the slide on a pistol with one hand. You got a primary and secordary or backup when you break the first off.
  6. Please post a picture of the mags. Cdnn was selling mags they called P18 9mm/38super and they are blued magazines. These magazines are 38super not 9mm magazines. The grooves in the body of the magzine are different between 9mm and 38super. The guts of the two are the same except for generation differences in the followers. 9mm magazines the forward groove is deeper and the wide V at top of magazine goes further towards bottom of magazine. All the 9mm magzines I have are factory chrome/nickel plated. The factory part number for 9mm magazine is PNM9. I have not seen a blued 9mm magazine. 38super magazine body both grooves are the same depth and the deep V at front of magazine is much shorter than a 9mm magazine. Barry
  7. What you have listed will work great. JP upper made by Nordic will be the way to go. The ar uppers made by Nordic Components ar the best thing going. Will go on to any standard 223 ar lower. JP trigger will work fine under that upper. Triggers are personel chioce and that upper will work with about any fire control you put under it. You will not have any regrets with your listed setup. Barry
  8. Yes, there are several generations of Para magazines, no idea of how many. I have a new Para frame in the original box and the box is marked 13+1. The 2 magazines in the box will only hold 13 rounds and have original flat Para sheet metal pads installed.
  9. Para P14-45 magazine with the flat factory base pad will only hold 13 rounds. Para defines P14 magazine as 13 + 1 = P14. Put a Dawson pad on the same magazine and you will get 16 rounds in the magazine. With a Dawson base pad you will also have to get longer magazine spring. I get 170mm length springs and trim as needed.
  10. Check over at rimfire central forum. Does your trigger have an over travel stop? Some Buckmarks are pretty good out of the box and others no so much. The factory trigger can be drilled and tapped for over travel and Browning has a trigger already done available. You can also put in a flat trigger with over travel stop. Flat trigger with your finger at bottom will lighten felt trigger pull due to more leverage.
  11. I ordered fiber front sights directly from Para. I still have one in my spares box, let me know if you are interested in one. Barry
  12. The Ruger Rimfire Series uses both rifles and pistols at their matches. There state championship matches this summer and the world shootoff this fall. You can read all the details at teamrimfire.com, has rules and match information. Great place to start new and junior shooters also. You will find all skill levels at these matches!
  13. Iron sights are useable thru this 90 degree mount on Ruger MKIII & 22/45 pistols.
  14. The only problem with 26rd magazines is they have to be reloaded more often then 50rd magazines. The poly lipped magazines work fine. I have both poly and steel lip mags, when poly wear out will start using steel lipped mags.
  15. One good idea from retiring, well maybe two!

  16. Not one of a kind. See Taccom in dealer section of this forum for more information.
  17. Roll crimp the loads just like you would for the 44 revolver with jacketed bullets. Don't run lead bullets in the Desert Eagle due to lead shave off at gas ports.
  18. I believe you can run coupled mags but have in some other posts about problems. JJ or one of the other HM shooters used them and said the rounds shift forward in recoil in standby magazine. Can't reload because with standby because rounds sticking out the front of magazine. Test run your mags coupled and make sure the top round stays put. Coupled mags ok as long as second don't touch ground a same time is my understanding. Not producing these yet, but will let you know if I do. Have fun a CMMG, can't make it this year.
  19. Sheeet!!'. I don't even have time to make ammo these days. Id rather pay a good machinist to make an adapter for my firebird PMag coupler. Is it legal to make and use an extension in most matches? I asked several people/HM'ers about it before I made mine. As long as the magazine don't hold over 20 rds and the foot print isn't double wide( coupled mags on the ground ). You're good to go is my understanding.
  20. I was going to keep these a secert till I made it to the next match. I made these extensions for two of my mags. The mags are the same length as a 223 Magpul with Nordic extension. That is the correct height for me to monopod. Used Arredondo base pad on the bottom so nobody can complain about the foot print of the magazine. Made hole in the bottom of Arredondo base cover to reach up to be able to disassemble magazine. Black Dog stickers for dress up. Base pads milled out of tactical 2x4 with 3.5" screws attaching to Magpul base pad.
  21. Supermoto has the right specs for the charger. My charger also has model number SPC500800P.
  22. I used a Burris Fastfire on my TacSol 2011 conversion. The dot was bright enough but alittle small for me. I ran it beside a C-more and perferred C-more for larger lense size and 8 moa dot. The C-more with 8 moa dot is my go to choice now. That being said you have Burris now get the base and see if it suits your eye/taste. Find others it your area and look at/try their setup. Barry
  23. The High Plains Shooting Challenge was a rifle only match last summer in OK. You could shoot rimfire or centerfire division. This match was a great time and will go back again. This year it will be a shotgun only match. They run shotgun and rifle alternateing years.
  24. Midwest 3gun allows 9 in the gun at the start for most divisions and shotgun capacity is not limited. If your gun holds more you can add after start signal. Thats what the rules were the last 2 years.
