  1. I'm used to the C-More so that's probably what I will start with.
  2. I have a shooting buddy that has one in his 6 inch Limited gun. He blew up the barrel (squib followed by a non squib) a short time ago, but the Briley spherical bushing survived as did the frame and slide.
  3. Shoot Open mainly because of vision problems. Wear bi-focals and cannot see iron sights as clearly as I used to. But, I do shoot with both eyes open. But, thankfully I am right handed and right eye dominant. Keep working on it and it will come.
  4. As I get older I have lost interest in 3 gun, will be selling my Open shotgun down the road a piece. I had a great time and its great fun, but time to move on. Have fun.................
  5. I use hearing aids for normal use. I take them out when shooting. I use Peltor Tactical Sport Electronic Hearing Protectors and I love them. One side adjusts both ears and they fit tight and work with Rifles and Shotguns without getting in the way. Cannot wear ear plugs, need the amplification.
  6. I voted for Bedell; I have one of the best Open guns from him in 38sc that I have ever shot.
  7. I think my middle name is DQ, but the good kind. Wow, Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, that sounds real good..................... .
  8. I like the On-Line Squadding (sp), but not sure about On-Line Registration. I see the point of being able to immediately get into the match and the more I think about it sounds good. How would you pay for the match?
  9. My Bedell Open gun has a ball detent and I have yet to lose it, no locktite required and I need the slide racker with the C-More sitting vertical.
  10. Welcome to the best shooting Forum, period. Will be at the Nationals and you can ask me anything, love my Bedell Open gun. Congratulations on your retirement and that your wife shoots with you; cool............... .
  11. Well said, may God hold everyone effected by 911 in his hands, its hard to believe its been 12 years. We should never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Other than getting in my truck, I want to know what 1644 does when he first gets in his car?????????????
  13. Almost looks like you have a seating die in your press for flat point or semi-wadcutter instead of round nose?
  14. I have a 24 inch barrel on my Open shotgun and I love it. With the long extended tube, it seems more balanced than what I think a 21 inch barrel would feel. I think it also reaches out to those 25 yard plus Poppers when using 7 1/2 shot better.
  15. I shoot MG bullets and have never had any issues with them or our local Post Office. The Post Office will not deliver them to my house, but I don't expect our mail lady to handle the heavy boxes. She puts a notice in our mail box and I go and pick them up.
  16. One of our local young GM's does grip stippling similar to what Brazos does. Right now he's only doing local guns, but who knows what the future might bring. He does a great job.

Welcome to the best Shooting Forum.
  18. Didn't read the entire thread, but don't let it get you down. It has happened to the best of them including the post above this one. Trace is a professional police officer and carries a gun for a living. I have a shooting buddy that's a retired cop and has shot IPSC since 1979 and he's been DQ'ed. Learn from it and keep on going...............
  19. Whats wrong with duct tape, they make all different colors and gotta use some bailing wire as well...................
  20. I use 17 pound mainsprings in my two Open guns and don't find them mushy at all. One is a Bedell and the other Jim Anglin.
  21. I got some brass from Star Line and before they shipped it they sent an email saying the order of 38 Short Colt brass was ready. Emailed them and advised it was 38 Super Comp. Glad I caught that before it had to be shipped back, etc.

    Moving the gun safe

I let a friend put his big (not sure of the weight, but big) safe in my house while he's between house and apt living. Fortunately my house has an exposed back and we got it to the lower level easily. But, it would not have been so easy if another shooter had not stopped by and helped. It would still be outside. Did I mention it was big............ .
  23. I have an XD 9mm with the trigger and other mods done by Rich Dettelhouser at Canyon Creek. I love the gun, but have not had the chance to shoot an XDm 5.25.
  24. I'd like to see the rule on penalties for a non-activated disappearing target? I totally agree with the -20 for the Steel, but not sure on the paper target.
