Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks for the responses everyone. I realize now that I was being too hard on myself. I have learned from my mistake, and will do everything I can to not repeat it. There is a club match this weekend. Wish me luck!
  2. Well I guess it was something I'm not used to. Especially since this was the first level 2 match I'd ever been to. Maybe it was nerves. There was a target that was set right on the 180 line on the left. After I shot that target I turned left when I should have turned right. That's it in a nutshell.
  3. I have been shooting USPSA matches for 3 years now. I've only done local level 1 club matches though. I finally went to a level 2 sectional match last weekend and got DQ'ed for breaking the 180. I wound up muzzle sweeping half my squad. I still can't believe I did it. I don't even understand why it happened, and it makes me feel sick. I actually stopped myself at the same time the RO told me to stop since I knew I just screwed up big time. Luckily no one was hurt, but it still really bothers me, to the point I'm thinking of giving up the sport entirely. I was so embarrassed and ashamed. Any one done something similar? How did you handle it?
  4. Any updates? I am considering building a similar set up, so I am wondering if you got the ejection issue resolved. Also, do you have the solid long slide or the one with the cut out like a G17L/24/34/35 has?
  5. I'm pretty sure he was talking to me. Thanks Doc, that's what I figured, but I just thought I'd ask to make sure. I guess it will be awhile before I make it to B then.
  6. I shot a 61.207% today on the Hillbillton Drill in Limited. Is that one score enough to bump me to B class or will I need to shoot a few more like that? Either way it won't be until October before it posts anyway.
  7. The frames are the same. The only difference is the ejector, on the .40 the ejector is straight, and on the 9mm it has a slight bend. If you are swapping all the internal parts it won't be an issue though. Just make sure you have the right ejector for shooting .40 cal.
  8. 24P was the designation for the early ported/compensated model, Glock later changed the designation to 24C. Not sure when Glock changed that though, and I don't know how many were made before the change. It might be worth a slight premium to the right person, but I'd just shoot it and enjoy. For use in Limited/L-10, just buy an aftermarket non-ported barrel from KKM or LWD.
  9. I'm using the Arredondo basepads which give me 17+1. I've only used my G21 in one match so far and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to using it more.
  10. Can I get in on this? A69719 Limited - C - 46.37% Production - C - 50.21%
  11. I used my G21 in a club match last weekend. I am using the Aluminator holster I bought from Glk21C along with 3 Safariland 771 pouches on a CR Speed belt. With the Arredondo mag. extensions, it was no problem to plan reloads. We had one 32 round field course that I wound up doing 2 reloads to complete. I didn't do that well though, came in 8th out of 26 in Limited, but that isn't the gun's fault. I'm just a little out of practice. Now if I can just find the time to get in some more practice before next months matches, I know I can do better. Eventually I will set up my G20 for Limited with a .40 conversion barrel, but I'm having fun shooting the G21 .45 for now. I just love seeing those big .45 holes appear on the target, and it really knocks pepper poppers down with authority!
  12. Without missing? What? You mean you can do it that way? I sure hope so! I missed plenty, but the few strings I shot clean sure felt good.
  13. Oh yeah, I've been shooting USPSA matches for about a year now. I'm a 'C' Class shooter in both Limited and Production. I'm working on improving there too. I had never shot a steel match before today and was just excited about it. The ringing of the steel is satisfying, especially when you don't miss!
  14. It was fun! Outer Limits and 5 To Go really messed me up. I had the hardest time with those. I did my best shooting of the day on Smoke & Hope, Roundabout, and Speed Option. We had 7 stages total, so that's 175 rounds minimum to complete the match. I fired 251 rounds, so that means I missed 76 times!I am sure I can do better! I'm looking forward to doing it again.
  15. Thanks for the replies everyone. Now I have some new questions. What do you all recommend for a holster and mag pouches for the large Glocks? I am torn as to whether I should go with a speed rig or a set up similar to my Production rig because of the muscle memory I have built up from shooting Production. I can't seem to find much available for the G20/21 in a speed holster set up anyway, so a Production style set up would be easier to find, as well as less cost. Thanks again for the help.
