I have shot three level 1 matches since the division rules were published. First match: 35 shooters, 0 production optics contestants. Second match: 62 shooters, 0 production optics contestants. Third match: 32 shooters, 0 production optics contestants. Is it just too early? Inquiring minds want to know!
So after Reading the "lesson's learned" post earlier there seems to be some hesitation on what matches are worth going to these days. I was wondering which matches those where, but I figured no one is going to admittedly come out and say it so put out this Poll. I don't know if I got all the "Major" matches on the poll or not but the idea was those matches that generally sell out and have a attendance of more than 200 shooters. To be fair you can only answer the poll if you have shot the match in the past and then wouldn’t attend it in the future for whatever reason. Don’t just mark it just because you “heard” and never experience the match. I only included 3 Gun Matches. Edit: Added second question of Why wouldn't you shoot the match again.
What are the opinions about using online registration (programs such as Match Director) for major match's that fill up very fast. I can see no downside, but I would be interested in hearing any problems that anyone has had in recent times. Thanks in advance for anyone's opinions good or bad !!
Here is the scenario. All open guns cost the same amount, regardless of builder, features, and caliber. Or, if you prefer, someone is going to buy you an Open gun, and you dont mind spending their money. So, price not being the determining factor, who do you order from? I know that price is definitely THE determining factor for me. I try to balance the cost with what I think that I need or prefer. However, If $$ was not the issue...... I tried to include most of the popular builders, sorry if I missed yours. Votes are not public, so your sponsor wont know.....
