  1. There's always that fine print. Priority Mail is "usually" 3 days, but not guaranteed 3 days as I found out the hard way.
  2. That was a great movie. The guys at Bub Enterprise took the day off to go see that movie. They currently hold the land speed record for a streamliner motorcycle. A friend of mine works for them and my college engineering professor designed the engine for the streamliner. During the time the movie came out, they were in a bit of a slump. There were about to abandon the project which they have been working on for many, many years to do a lot of frustration with the project.
  3. I been to an ATM outside a BofA where someone did what you did. For about one fast split, I thought about withdrawling some cash. But by the time you shoot a slow split, I had already hit cancel and turned the card into the bank.
  4. Yes, it gives you the date. Not a pilot watch, but quite shocking price tag. http://www.theluxurybazaar.com/timepieces/...E5-D66A4B0F5331
  5. Sadly most people simply don't care about other people's cars.
  6. I bet he would have piss in his pants if you pulled your gun.
  7. Here's a pilot's watch. http://www.theluxurybazaar.com/timepieces/...__IW500203.html
  8. You don't want to go through Zion. It's not a fast road to drive on, plus you would have to pay to go through. Hwy 14 is pretty long. Hwy 20 is the shortest between Hwy 89 and I-15 and that's what most people use.
  9. Wouldn't the registration paper in the car prove that the registration has been paid if you did get pulled over?
  10. Make sure you pull off the old stickers. I clean mine off every time. No way in hell you can get the sticker off in one piece.
  11. Paint sealant = rip off. Fabric sealant = rip off. If you walk into a dealership, expect to pay more. That's their policy. Always go through the internet sales manager and do your homework before hand. With most cars, you should be able to get the car for $300-500 below invoice before any discounts and incentives are applied.
  12. How about the Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk series. They got one for the Blue Angels. It's solar and battery powered. Has GMT on a 24 hour dial. It also has a slide rule calculator for figuring out fuel usage and time/distance stuff. The digital side of the watch has world time programmed in by airport code. Runs about $400.
  13. This is where the rules seem kind of confusing. Modifications to the grip is illegal. Okay that's fine. Aftermarket grips which match the profile of OFM standard for the approved handgun... is permitted. So wouldn't a Burwell insert be a aftermarket grip? It does match the same profile. It just has a different texture.
  14. Some people do have too much time on their hands. Here are a couple more. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=en&...029182&z=15 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...014291&z=16
  15. Even with a visa, you can still shoot legally. All the people that attend the World Shoot are in the country on a visitor's visa.
  16. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...054245&z=15 Uh oh, big brother is watching.
  17. It is annoying when you get a squad where they won't brass between shooters, instead they stand around talking the entire time while 2 people are taping and setting up steel. Then they spend 10-15 minutes after everyone in the squad has shot to brass, and holding up the next squad since they can't do their walk thru until that squad is gone. By the time you are half way through the match, you end up having two squads waiting on the same bay waiting to shoot. I guess this should go in the I hate section.
  18. P99, you won't like my answer. Under 4 minutes and I'll be averaging 65 mph. I live less than 1/2 mile from the freeway on ramp.
  19. My safety comes off as I'm pushing the gun out to the target, usually as the support hand grips the gun and I lock the thumbs forward. Considering just about everyone has had an AD at one point or another, that trigger finger safety is pretty unreliable.
  20. If you think that was uncalled for, the local PD has given someone a ticket for snoring too loud. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html...751C0A962958260
  21. Having a radar detector doesn't mean you should rely on it 100%. If you know areas where cops like to watch the traffic while they eat their donut, you should still slow down regardless. A radar detector is just another tool to have. My main reason for getting the V1 was because of the local PD love to set up speed traps and nail people for doing 27 in a 25 mph. No one drives that slow on a wide open road, heck I don't even ride my bicycle that slow.
  22. I learned that lesson at my very first match doing my very first reload in competition. From then on, I always slammed the mag in.
  23. If everything is going good, I take a deep breath and clear my mind of everything, look at the first target and wait for the beep. Some times it's "Oh s&*t, how the f*&^ was I suppose to shoot this stage?"
  24. This one has been debated endlessly on the car forums. The 8500 users swear by them. The V1 users swear by them also. I've owned a V1 for a long time now. At least in California, I shut off X and K since no one uses those frequencies except the signs that tell you how fast you're going. All the chippies use Ka.
  25. So can someone buy a stipple grip for a M&P and still be legal?
