I had an incident once where I ran up to a door, yanked it opened, and slip and fell on my butt. During the trip down to the ground, I already had the weak hand on the gun and a perfect sight picture on the target. I debated on whether to shoot on the way down to the ground since I wasn't doing anything at the time except waiting to hit the ground. Ended up not shooting. If I had fired a shot, would that warrant a DQ also?

One of the local clubs around here already do a IDPA-like multi-gun match with some of the same rules posted like 10 rounds max in rifle mag and 5 rounds in shotgun. It usually draws a pretty big crowd from the IDPA side who don't shoot IPSC.

That's the other thing, I know a few LE guys from shooting. I also know a Deputy Counsel that works at the same court house. At the same time, it would be hard for me not to be biased on this particular case since it was murder and multiple weapons charges. I have no tolerance for people committing violent crimes using firearms. They ruin it for the rest of us.

Yes I am a degreed engineer. I would serve if I could, but not getting a pay check for 3-4 weeks is a big hit on my finances.

Just got excused by the judge due to finanicial hardship since I don't get paid for jury duty and I can't go that long without pay, plus I have a vacation planned in two weeks. The case was to be 3-4 weeks for murder and weapons charges. Though who could possibly be worse to be a juror than some that actually knows must of California's insane gun laws.

Too bad they won't excuse me ahead of time since I am an engineer. I'm sick and tire of calling them. This is worse than waiting for the cable guy between the hours of 1 and 5.

I hate the stupid jury duty system they have in my county. It is plain stupid. The summons was for Tuesday afternoon, so called Monday night. Been moved to Wednesday afternoon. Called Tuesday night, been moved to Thursday afternoon. Called Wednesday night, told to call at noon on Thursday. So took the day off work since it would have been pointless for me to drive 40 minutes to work, work for a few hours, then drive 60 minutes to the courthouse. Just called them at noon, been rescheduled to Friday afternoon. We don't get paid for jury duty so basically today was wasted without pay. Now I might or might not have to reschedule my doctors appointment for tomorrow since I don't know what I'll be doing till noon tomorrow. This is just effing retarded. No wonder everyone hates jury duty.

From what I've heard, the teflon finish tends to flake off. Here's my HK P7M8 that I refinished the slide with Brownell's Bake-on Lacquer. Only did the slide since the smith I had refinish it had a hard time reblueing the slide. It's mostly holster wear, but it isn't any worse than the blueing on the frame.

My recent tooth ache resulted in getting 2 molars pulled. The tooth ache wasn't painful, neither were getting the two molars pulled. They did prescribe me 20 pills of vicodin for some reason. I didn't even take any advil after getting them yanked out.
