  1. I shot an out of state match years ago, walked up to the first stage, the CRO had a baseball bat with the cover of the rule book taped around it. He thought it was funny, the shooters didn't seem to think so. Water over the bridge. Oustanding performance, Charlie. Congratulations.
  2. 5.9 is a lot. In my 5" STI with a Scheumann barrel, 180gr LazerCast lead, 4.8 gave me 167pf, 5.0 gave me 176pf.
  3. Mandatory reload after the first shot and before the last shot fired. I ran one similar to this last month, 4 paper with 4 poppers in front. The idea was can you go fast enough to beat the procedural for not reloading. No one tried.
  4. It works fine for me this morning.
  5. No, the holster should come right up to the frame. I can scan the instructions and email them to you if it would help.
  6. The way you show it, it's not locked. The lever needs to be over the retention clip. Do you have the instructions that came with the holster?
  7. Welcome! You're going to enjoy shooting USPSA matches here. Lots of matches. Lots of GOOD matches.
  8. I'm a fan. My daily is a CC lightweight, my Single Stack is an Ultimate Master. Nice pistols..
  9. Saturday, May 28, PSAC match, Aurora, Co. www.ecouspsa.com for times, directions, etc.
  10. Something you'd all like to do...
  11. It sounds like it's going to dirty things up pretty quickly. If the shell plate is dragging, loosen the center screw. You'll need to back out the brass screw in the side of the shaft, then loosen the screw that holds the shell plate in until it's where you like it, then retighten the brass set screw.
  12. www.ecouspsa.com will give you the club info, contacts, schedule, etc., for Eastern Colorado. Welcome.
  13. Ditto. Lowest of the low.
  14. That's what good gear is for, it's great that it helped you survive the crash.
  15. Charlie, we need to go back to assigning duties. I was surprised, when I returned after not shooting for a while, that this no longer happened. Clipboard person- "Charlie's the shooter, Moe's on deck, Curly's in the hole. Larry brass, Elmer tape, Doofus set steel." If it's a big stage, or there's more steel, call extras. It works, it shouldn't have to be done, but reality is what it is.
  16. I think Tom's answer was the appropriate one. Some people can handle life's ups and downs, some can't. Piling on doesn't help or reflect well on anyone.
  17. Before palms/computers it would sometimes take weeks... I used to score with a hand held calculator, then mail the results with our monthly newsletter. We don't get a newsletter any more, but all the Eastern Colorado clubs have the results out by day's end. It's much appreciated.
  18. Jason- after watching our match today you can see that we all regularly make fools of ourselves..don't hesitate to join in. The one stage you're referencing- shooting one-handed- being a lefty would have given you an advantage. Just come shoot.
  19. I had the same issue. I've used those bullets forever, it seems, but when I got a couple of new guns it turned out that the chambers were a lot tighter than my old ones. Why? I don't have a clue. Maybe the manufacturers are using their reamers until they're really worn out? Anyway, my gunsmith reamed the chambers for me, and all is good.
  20. Thin blooded flatlanders.. it generally doesn't snow at our range in August. We had a pretty good snow for one day of the Mile-Hi Showdown one Fourth of July weekend. Our range is not too far downhill from the Continental Divide. Fortunately we do have matches at ranges down out of the mountains. We shoot if it's cold, but not if it's blowing snow and the roads are crappy.
  21. If it were me, I'd think the brass colored ones were the weird ones. I've been using Wolf SRP since spring, and all mine are copper colored. As far as brass color being reserved for SRP, I've used Winchester forever, and they're silver.
  22. I use a Wahl cordless, don't know the model. It adjusts to 6 different lengths. I don't have any idea what it cost, it was a gift from my daughters. I've used it 4 or 5 years, serves me well.
  23. Charlie, are you feeling/getting better today? I shot like crap yesterday, in slow motion...
