Start position- standing under shelter, facing downrange, snow shovel in strong hand.

No. The shooter was under the supervision of, and acting in response to a direct command issued by the RO. The finger only points in one direction here. It doesn't matter that no one else saw the person downrange, the responsibility lies wholly on the RO.

The RO did check downrange, obviously not carefully enough.

I've been trying it with my STI. So far I've just hurt myself....

The first thing I'd try is to remove the "pedal" and see if it works properly without it. If it does, then you need to file or Dremelize the "pedal", thin it a bit.

Ditto. Used them in my .38 super Open gun, use them in my .40 Limited gun. 0 problems.

We often forget these three very important words when setting up stages. If I wanted training instead of a fun weekend day in the sun, I would have signed up for it. Yep. Think of yourself as an entertainer. Your customers are paying to have a good time, give it to them and they'll return for more.

For a carry gun, it's great. I've been carrying one for many years. As has been said- not a match gun.

I'm surprised. Every club around here designates tapers/brassers as each new shooter comes to the line- A is the shooter, B's on deck, C & D tape, F brass, or however many are required.

I've heard of one range that gives a DNF to people who split without helping, but I haven't actually heard it in a shooters' briefing, and don't know how you could wash it through the rule book. Unsportsmanlike conduct covers it well, I think.

Just spray it with sight black, it rubs off if you don't like it. Less permanent than paint.
