  1. Is scoring going to be USPSA or Outlaw, "two hits anywhere on paper"?
  2. Don't put the chamber flag in the chamber. After loading the tube, pull the bolt back just enough to insert the pointed part of the flag between the bolt face and chamber.
  3. Does this mean that if a team shoots just the Topton match, it will be just for fun. Meaning there will be no pay back and no prize table like the past 3man matches?
  4. He also needs to get his fingers off the operating rod.
  5. Mine is going back for the second time. Nose dives and about rd. 30, the shells become loose. Tried different bullets, different guns, same thing. Next step is to try to get my money back. Shot a match with a guy that had three of them. One works, the other two don't. Customer service is great but if they don't work, it does not help matters any.
  6. I am now legally blind from watching that! Will we see you back next year????? Let me think about it a little while...HELLZ yes!!! The FNH match, Rocky Mountain, and ProAm are the 3 must shoot events that I have attended. I thought the mix of natural terrain vs. bay style shooting and speed vs. accuracy on the pistol and shotgun where excellent. All of the firearm optional targets where excellent. The slug targets were very well done. Not to hard but not easy by any stretch. The hoser rifle was a lot of fun. I would have liked to see full size flash targets on the 200 yard and beyond skinny's. But thats only because precision rifle is my weakest link. I was very glad that we were allowed to go prone for those little guys. It was funny on our first long range walk through soneone in our squad commented that this was the first match in 3 months where we go to shoot the rifle prone. As far as Im concerned the little round 4" steel can all be melted down for target stands unless we can start shooting buckshot at them. The setup for the 3GN four stage match was good as well. By removing those few no shoots and requiring the use of slugs was a good choice. I would have lined to see done speed shooting with the rifle and pistol. The prize tables were both unreal!!! It still makes me shake my head in amazement when I see rows of rifles and enough FNH pistol boxes stack up to make a snipers hide. I can't thank everyone enough for creating such a great 4 days of shooting, commradery, and great memories. Signed, The Mayor Looked like a great match!! I can never understand shooting boxes when going prone. A lot of people cannot for many reasons, "me" can't get behind the gun like your supposed to.
  7. Can you change team members for the three events? Someone gets sick, can,t commit to all three events etc.
  8. That's pretty badass! None of us had the stones to shoot the pistol from there. Jesse, where are your usual great videos?
  9. I don't know exactly who to thank but that was one hell of a shotgun match! Stages were WILD! High round count and a lot of different ways to shoot them. Hope they do it next year.
  10. Thanks Dave, I checked the equipment rules and there is nothing about pistol capacity requirements except for ironman division. The rules only state how long the mag can be, not how many rds. you can have in them. Like for example in IDPA you can use a hi cap mag but only put 10 rds in it if you are in stock service pistol division.
  11. Can you tell me if IDPA rules such as using cover, not dropping a loaded mag, reloading behind cover etc. are going to be used for this match? How about mag capacity for tactical, 30 for an AR, 17 for a Glock okay? Thanks
  12. The problem is the eight shell does not trip the shell latch which in turn allows the carrier to lift the receiving shell to the chamber. Your extended tube and spring do not have enough power to trip the latch because the spring is weakest pushing the last shell out. The fix is to remove the latch and cut the coil spring behind it. At least two coils, maybe three. If you cut to much the gun will not lock back but will still cure your problem. Turn the gun upside down, the latch will be on the left. You will see a pin in the receiver that lets it pivot. Inside the receiver is a slot. In the slot is a kind of hairpin that holds the pivot pin. Take that out. It holds the pivot pin in place. Push the pin out and the latch will come out. Cut two coils off and replace to try it. Lock the bolt back. Put one shell in. The shell should auto load. If it does not, cut off one more coil. That should do it. You will not have to change anything if you take the tube off to put the gun back as it was. Sounds complicated but it is really very easy to do.
  13. Give me a break!! Do you really expect us to believe you did not know how to put the safety on and then shoot and weak hand reload a gun you say you never shot before?
  14. Great gun but the man said he is on a budget!
  15. Don't laugh,is the top of the comp turned to 1:00 or the right side ports turned to 1:00 for a right hand shooter? I have tried both ways with a rolling thunder with no effect but I have to say it shoots very flat for me in the neutral position.
  16. Did you ever think of taking the caps off to dial your elevation when needed? Most people I know don't want exposed turrets for fear of moving the adjustments while moving through a course of fire that does not require dialing.
  17. Been using M.G.55 gr..223 bullets for the last few years. Very happy with them. One m.o.a. out to 200 yds. on a good day. Ordered more of them a month ago. They are different appearance wise than the ones I have been using. Same equipment, they group 1/34 at 100 and 3" at 200. Anybody know who made the older bullets verses the new ones?
  18. That is not entirely accurate. The only prohibited use of the VFG for support is if you rest it on a surface like a monopod. Any other bracing use is legal. It is also legal to rest you hand under the grip in the monopod manner. If I choose to monopod off the VFG, I just curl my little finger under the bottom of the VFG, so there is no contact between the VFG and the surface I am resting it upon. Total rule gamer I know, but it is legal and it works. Erik Thanks Eric, That is my exact intent!
  19. Tim, Where did you find that information. I could not find it in the USPSA 3gun rules. Is this a non USPSA thing? I need to know because I plan on using one for support because of a disability in tactical division. Thanks
  20. Nice finish at Rocky Mountain Dean. Can,t wait for the next match and from the sound of it, next year. The best
