  1. The choke controls the pattern. The barrel length isn't controlling he pattern. It does add life sight radius
  2. Never had a problem with my gcode I use for 3 gun. What's the issue that it can't be safely drawn as mine draws fine
  3. I do teach Ccdw classes and it is amazing. The usual characters are the guy with the pos antique c&r gun such as the 7.62 nagant cz52 etc. Then you have the lady who has never shot before and is scared of the gun. I had to stop one as her keltec would jump so much it ended up sweeping her head. Then the best is the blowhole who there is always at least one of in the class who talks a big game about his skills with a gun and must be the worst endowed in the class as he brings out the biggest cannon he can find to qualify with and usually shoots a pattern on his target. On the knob creek I did notice the 500 last time I was there as well I believe he had extra ammo on the holster. You forgot you have to blouse your pants to really for in with the security fokes
  4. If it's steel targets I use non magnetic ammo mainly because it's required as people Feel it damages steel targets which it does not as the velocity is what does the damage and the Tula is much slower than xm193 or 50 grain varmet loads. If it's paper which is usualy not Long distance I run it as works fine in all my guns
  5. I use it when I can for the local close range stuff and it works just fine for me
  6. if you want to see that all the time check out Knob creek machine gun shoot security staff. You will see a fine collection of POS drop leg one size fits nothing nylon holsters and the same holster on the belt flopping around.
  7. It's what ever feels good for you. I would try an 8 and a 9
  8. It's just a difference culture. The die hard clays guys think what we do is unsafe. The diehard pistol guys think what they do is unsafe.
  9. It was brought up before and it was determined to be good to go
  10. If you plan on using the gun for single stack then you can't have any lightening holes done.
  11. I would go with the winchester. It's a good safe for the money and if bolted down will keep most of the thieves out. I carry a Ryder poicy for my guns and figure if they break the safe open it will cover it but a safe is Definately a deterrent to in and out thieves
  12. I would say your load time is pretty good if you can do it consistently in a match while moving and not fumbling shells.
  13. The prismatic is good for tac iron as it has the crisp reticle not the dot which isn't as sharp like a red dot. In tac optics the 1-4 and 1-6 etc blow it away
  14. The double is the easiest to learn and get proficient at and still be pretty fast at. If you get proficient at the double load and can do it consistently in match contortions and can get consistent hits without missing then your not gonna have an issue. Match conditions are a lot different than standing in the garage prepping yourself and standing and loading
  15. Any of the builders can cut slides cheely, freedom gun works etc
  16. That's the point I was trying to make belt jones. Allowing mags loaded up will simply lead to a production mag race. There are plenty of divisions as is. Nothing is stopping the shooter from using a glock etc in limited and simply throwing on a magwell and some extensions and going.
  17. The speed hammer cut Definately helps with reliability and of you add a screw like the one in the link and it takes the pretravel out which sucks on a GI trigger and turns it into a pretty decent trigger with the jp springs. I wouldn't spend the money on an adj gas block as it dosent help much with a full weight system. Since the barrel isn't threaded that hurts a little as you can't throw a comp on which helps quite a bit in how the gun shoots.
  18. The miss is fine as the target was engaged and the time saved isn't gonna much
  19. I wold say cut the hook off the hammer making it a speed hammer ie better reliability and maybe add a trigger adjuster grip screw which is cheap andakes the trigger pretty decent with the jp springs and speed hammer mod. Throw a Miculek comp on it and run it
  20. Here is a good example of a ss legal offset holster. Blade tech holster with stingray fixed with belt attachment. Get longer screws and the nut they screw into. Buy plastic spacer from hardware store and drill one in open a little more so the bushing slides in it which keeps it from moving. Add tiny locknut between belt bracket and plastic spacer. And tighten up. Mine is rock solid and offset but not dropped and works great
  21. The glock 34 would hold 21+1 with the taran base pads and will still fit the box
  22. What's sad is even 15 years ago it wouldn't have been an issue but now everyone is so paranoid that every one out there is out to do something bad
  23. Verasamax. The benelli is lighter which it has more recoil and being recoil operated means it dosent have the gas system to help with recoil. The benelli also requires heavier loads to cycle due to being recoil operates. The beretta 1301 will cycle light loads as well
  24. We really don't need any additional divisions So now you want basically striker fired limited for the guys wanting to shoot limited without an sti. Fill mags to capacity and fit the box then the taran pads would be even more popular to get max rounds. There are enough divisions as is and it's not hard to find one that suites you
  25. If it's riding the reset it may not be a double but a bump fire
