  1. If she is looking for steel gun ruger 22/45 and a cmore on an alchin mount
  2. Ya cut the tail off the hammer like the jp speed hammer
  3. Glock 19 with a lighter recoil spring. You can even add a slide racker on the slide cover
  4. Glock 26 if she wants small carry size or glock 19 if bigger is done. The recoil between that and a 380 is about the same and a 9mm is easy to load for and there are dovetail red dot mounts avaliable. A smaller lighter 380 ment for carry will be less pleasant to shoot than a bigger 9mm which can be downloaded as well
  5. Aluminum frames are not junk but they have their place especially on 1911s. They are ment for a gun that's carried a lot and shot a little. For that role they do a very good job. On a competition gun that gets shot a lot a steel frame fits that role better. Most carry guns don't see a ton of recreational rounds through them as they are ist shot enough to prove reliability and remain proficient
  6. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=189227&page=6 I have pictures posted on page 7 of the thread I linked with an offset holster
  7. Midwest keyhole 15 inch rail is a nice addition. Very light weight and slim profile. And dosent break the bank either.
  8. Yes it's legal for SS if it's under 2 inches. I used the plastic spacers that were thick and fit the screw. I then drilled the end a little to have a recess for the bushing to go into the spacer some. I then added a small lock washer on the bracket side and tightened it down. Works great for ss
  9. I am running a mark ii with a tacsol upper on it for open Rimfire and it puts a little weight in the hand and none in the front end so it transitions wellll
  10. That must be used which is something they really need from the rules as it should be viewed the same as a lock on a race holster
  11. You would be fine refinishing a shiny finish to a full one as reducing glare isn't a concern. What's prohibited is adding something like a rough truck bed liner finish to the slide to give you grip on the slide over the slick smooth finish
  12. In steel challenge the comp isn't as needed as the other games but to get the max benefit you want a lot of slow burning powder like hs6 or autocomp
  13. Most factory ammo I have seen is usually around 130-135 and sometimes even less
  14. A match master is another good option
  15. The prize table had plenty to go around so everyone got something decent at least as there was a lot of stuff on it.
  16. Lone wolf has the front serrations As well and is easier to get than a factory slide

If it does that call them and they will take care of it
  18. A stock trubor can run minor with the right spring. If your looking for a minor gun check out the steel master. It's a shorty designed for minor
  19. But but but but, all the tactical timmeys say you have to stand with your shoulders and feet square to the threat. Of course, that makes managing recoil hard. And target transitions. And getting your feet moving. We had a police office stop in a buddy's shop that was right by the police training for the state asking about extra shotgun pads as he had to qualify and stated he was always sore when done. His local guy had him holding the shotgun square to the target on his chest dead center. He left to qualify after being shown how to correctly hold one and his Sgt was wrong lol
  20. With aps like practiscore there really is no need to use paper scoring. It saves the score person a ton of time as they do not have to input the information as it's done when the match is over. You really only need one semi computer literate person to set it up and the rest is simple as clicking the colum. It also eliminates missing hits times etc as it verified it as you go. Not sure why there are those clinging to paper scoring and manual entry when there is a much better alternative
  21. They are more expensive but it's a much nicer gun and isn't even in the same league as the 682

Nope no issues. I had a Caspian slide at one point i returned because it was junk. The area around the beech face on one split out as it was not cut right. It almost looked like it was a bushing that came out around the breech face the way it split even though it was solid. The second one Caspian replaced it with wouldn't even allow the factory firing pin safety to go in at all and a vanek one could be crammed in but would be too tight to function. That went back and I put a lw on it and everything for right in no issues. It just works
