  1. Factory trigger. Add a grip screw that removes pretravel and a set of jp springs. Then take a cutting wheel and cut the hammer hook off to make it a speed hammer and your out like 25 bucks
  2. The TTO works pretty darn well for it's size ie shorter than an A2. Is it competition comp effective no but it's also much smaller
  3. So I had my gun setup with a recoil spring that worked well but have recently been having issues with the dot bouncing all over the place after an accident that caused my grip strength to go wayyy down. Is it more common to use a heavier or lighter spring when the grip stretch goes down
  4. no problem doing it unless you plan on shooting it for IDPA in which case it needs to be there. It will work just like a std 1911 without it. I have had mine gone for quite a while
  5. Ya it's chambering the same Round over and over that causes setback
  6. I wish they would have left the ranging thing off the side of the glass. That makes it a pass for me
  7. Texas star is fun too with a full lower federal flight control buckshot load too
  8. I would run the one you have and go RMR for 3 gun. If your not use to open it will make the dot easier to find as the index is the same and it's not that much slower for 3 gun
  9. I say shoot the 40 for 3 gun if that's what you have. You can download the 40 to minor if you choose to and have a softer shooting gun or use the major pf stuff you are use to. Your really only giving up 2-3 rounds going with the 40 which isn't that big of a deal Most matches I have seen used outlaw rules over uspsa rules
  10. If it's a practiscore scored match it's usually very quick. One club around we sync up at the match if we want and it's posted online later that day. Other clubs that use practiscore are up same day usually and maybe the next day. With clubs that still use paper scoring, it can take a while sometimes.
  11. I like a low holster but not on the thigh. I'm running a safariland with the low drop addaptor on it
  12. I can get 23 in limited legal glock and sti mags
  13. I'm gonna disagree on the barrel length and choke theory. A cylinder choke from a 18 inch isn't giving a bigger pattern than a cylinder in a longer barrel. The choke is what's controlling the pattern not the barrel length. The barrel ID also has some effect on patterns but is minimal and really not an issue for what we do. The lighter weight swinging better depends on how you move the gun. Personally I have much better control and feel of the gun with a heavier gun vs a light gun. The extra barrel length weight shouldn't be an issue at all for the amount of time we are using a shotgun on a stage and even the "heavy" guns are not that heavy.
  14. Not a fan of the M2 at all as for me it's way to light where I don't have the control that I like with it I also do not like how it shoots at all. I had one sold it and went back to the 1100 I had prior to that It dosent load quite as easily but I can shoot it a lot faster. The only one I would consider replacing it with would possibly be a versa max. As I prefer a heavier gun I have more control over Over a light one I throw around
  15. Flag and drop the flag as hit the button on instant. Is there a chance it may be a little off but should be very minimal. Any thing rigged to the timer means the ro has to yank the wire or have it trailing along. In all honesty you are pretty much always going to be at a slight disadvantage but all that can be expected is reasonable effort to make it as minimal as possible and other than just deal with loosing a tiny bit of time every stage
  16. I built mine to fit in one side of a walkin closet and use the other side as an actual closet. Bench isn't huge but it's plenty of space to load
  17. Try a 13 pound. It may need a 11 though which means adding a light weight striker and spring
  18. Try a 13 pound. It may need a 11 though which means adding a light weight striker and spring
  19. Save your money and buy the tubes and add the guts. The sti stock holds 26 for the big stick. You can assbled a 28 rounder pretty easily
  20. 13 should be fine. The federal ammo is a. Little lighter than the winchester I have seen.
  21. Sti spartan comes in commander and officer as well
