  1. By 'jammed' are you meaning the fired case did not extract or the fresh cartridge did not get stripped from the magazine and loaded into the chamber, or something else? If factory rounds that used to work fine are not longer feeding correctly, I'd pull the slide and examine the barrel for burrs or cracks. Same with the moving parts of the slide and recoil assembly. Look for 'shiny' spots indicating recent wear or anything that could impeded smooth travel of the slide and lock-up of the barrel.
  2. @cheby if I understand correctly, the spent round ejects fine and the free round doesn't feed completely? If that is accurate, I'd check the following: OAL of the new loads Increase weight of recoil spring Powder charge
  3. I made a small spacer out of plastic and attached the thumb rest using only a single hole, it wasn't very secure. Putting pressure on the pad caused the ensure assembly to tilt.
  4. I picked up an adjustable thumb rest, hoping I could adapt it to work for the TSO. Looks like there will be a like new thumb rest going on the FS forum soon. The ones from Alex aren't adjustable. Anyone know if there's an adjustable rest that fits the TSO.
  5. Can this thumb rest be directly to the frame, without a dot mount beneath it?
  6. I think you won the dirtiest CZ award Grasshopper.
  7. Doubt there's enough USPSA shooters running the GPs in production to start seeing much in the way of custom aftermarket parts.
  8. No buffer for me. Either 9mm or .40 S&W. 11# spring in the .40 and #10 in the 9mm.
  9. One of my squad mates had issues with his 2011 doubling because it was bump firing off the reset, fairly regularly. Got so bad that he pulled out his Glock G35 for several matches until he could get the 2011's reset adjusted to prevent this.
  10. The bottom of the cartridge rim should be 'at' or a hair above the hood at the top of the barrel. I measured the distance from the based of the cartridge to the base of the barrel (pic shows how this was done) and come up with 1.08" or 2.74mm.
  11. 4.8gr of N320 is in the major PF range. If you just want to plink, I'd drop the charge a bit.
  12. Here's a pic of both, with a 9mm bullet to show scale/relative size. Prima V is on the left, Prima SV on the right, with the specs of red in it. The particles are very similar is size/shape. As mentioned by previous poster, both meter about the same (very good) using a dillon 650
  13. I have two .40 TSOs and they both do this. Matter of fact, just to be sure I wasn't misjudging distance, I used a tape measure the last time I was at the range. Sure enough, most of the shell cases were in the 12-15' range from where I was standing. I load (brass and nickel plated brass) to major PF typically in the 168-172 range and normally run 11# recoil springs. I have used heavier springs than these,16 for sure and maybe an 18, but it has been a while so I'm not certain, when I was doing load development. The weight of the spring didn't seem to matter very much (maybe a few feet) where the cases landed. Just noticed while responding that I posted in the 9mm thread. I should have mentioned that in my original post. I have a 9mm TSO, however don't shoot it that much, so not sure how far it tosses the brass, but I do know that it's further than 5-6'.
  14. Slide stops for 75's appear to be in stock, what's the difference between the 75 and TS/TSO ones? http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/042000801601_Slide-Stop-Cz-75-40-Sw-9mm
  15. Just realized I was posting in the 9mm forum. I use PV for 9mm (135gr bullet) and PV and SV for .40 loads, depending on bullet weight.
  16. You might want to consider finding a new range.
  17. No offense partner, but I'm not sure what you mentioned is possible. Yes, one can get hit by a ricochet, (it happens, happened to me as a bystander once) however not sure how a shooter could 'shoot themselves via a ricochet, as ricochets typically are not predictable. Now back to the bigger picture question, an RO should be able to maintain control of the stage at all time, regardless of the proximity to the shooter.
  18. My TSO tends to eject brass 12-15', regardless of recoil spring. A while back I was at the range, had some extra time and a bag of recoil springs ranging from 10-18 pounds. The primary reason for testing the different recoil springs was to see what impact they had on slide speed and follow-up shot, sight picture. I fired 10 rounds with each recoil spring and afterwards while picking up my brass I didn't notice a dramatic shift in the ejection distance. Maybe a foot, max. Which is typical for my gun, during practice, depending on the wind and how they bounce.
  19. I picked up an 8# jug during Graf's recent sale. I currently have 9mm (135gr) and .40 (180 & 200 gr) loads worked up using N320 and Prima V/SV. Now to do the same with SP over the fall/winter. Should be interesting and fun.
  20. purchased the same/similar bag from the bidding web site for a few bucks less and really like it. It gets a bit heavy if you load it up, however has enough room for my primary & backup gun, 6 mags and plenty of storage for spare parts and other stuff. If anyone's interested look for 'Ultimate Tactical Deluxe Range Duffle Bag'
  21. I ordered a pair of the china-mart Soloman's just to see what turned up in the mail.
  22. Received the Dillon dies and installed them this evening. 5 minutes to dial them in and no more scraping the bullets during seating. Going to chrono the test rounds tomorrow if the weather cooperates. ETA chrono data The rounds were very consistent, albeit a tad low. Need to bump up the charge a lil bit and maybe increase OAL as 1 or 2 rounds (out of 40) didn't feed well. 23. Glad you got that part figured out. Now go do some live testing and let us know how they really perform!
