  1. check out this link http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5008 I got it from the pinned thread at the top of the techniques forum. There's ALOT of good stuff in that thread, links to a ton of good info. Kevin
  2. Thanks from me too, I didn't know where to find that.
  3. Put a DPMS upper on one, and DPMS LPK, fit great.
  4. crickets........... (I don't have an answer for you either)
  5. Everything the above posters said, and here's another take on it. http://www.accurateshooter.com/technical-articles/stress-free-pillar-bedding/ Kevin
  6. I've got my 550B on a work mate bench. It's in our pantry. I don't have the strong mounts, maybe I don't know what I'm missing. Someone earlier posted a SDB as an option. That might be a good choice. You can also get almost all your money back if you ever decide to sell it and move up. They hold their value really well. Kevin
  7. More important to have a chrono than spend extra $100 for calipers and scale. Again, many people here like to spend $300 for a chrono - I spent $70 for the Chrony, and it does everything I need it to do. Welcome to the sport - have fun and stay safe. Jack That's really good advice. I know you were asking about scales but you have to know what a given charge will do in your gun. An inexpensive chrono will tell you what you need to see on your scale, whatever kind you get. Even if you get a better chrono later, I've got a Oheler as well as access to a cheap one, it's nice to have a spare. Welcome to the forum Kevin
  8. Yeah that is a good one. I like "... stop, breathe and consider whether the distraction is urgent enough to trump the current priority." That sure is tough to do sometimes.
  9. link I particularly liked this line "Find your unique formula to tame your frenzy so that you drive your attention to its best possible focus."

  11. I thumb cock on the long shots. Entirely because I don't practice with a revo. I'm mostly an auto shooter, but make the occasional ICORE match. When Far and Near comes up I definitely single action the first string, 50 yds is a long shot with irons. If you're gonna practice then DA will win every time in the long run. But you gotta practice, alot. Just like everything else. No pain no gain. Kevin
  12. http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-20x42-Tactical-30mm-Riflescope-P502.aspx This is an outstanding scope for the money. Well suited to F class or even putting your toe in the water bench rest. Also holds it's value well if you ever step up to something better. Kevin
  13. http://www.brianenos.com/pages/dillon/pics.550_opt.acc.html#prime It's an electric primer tube filler. It can be filling tubes for you while you're loading ammo. Brian's got them under his misc. loading accessories.
  14. Makes 141pf out of a lone wolf barrel in my Glock 34.

  16. 200 a year maybe. About 100 on the clock. My ICORE club ran a shotgun/j-frame match this year. Was alot of fun. Kevin
  17. Congrats on your new toy!!! Enco is great but check out Victor.net. I've been really happy with their prices and they've always been great to deal with. In addition to all the tools already suggested I'd recommend getting a right angle plate and some Kant-twist clamps. You can find them on ebay or any of the vendors listed. I was surprised how useful it was to be able to clamp something to a vertical surface to work on it. And an edge finder. Sooooo nice to have. I got a Starrett 827A from Amazon for $22. Really makes setting up easier. Have fun Kevin
  18. Nice, thanks. I like number 8. I gotta think about that one a little. Thanks again Kevin
  19. The first time it happened to me was 2007. It happened two more times before the end of 2008. It's a pretty bad feeling, it definitely affected my outlook on life and employment. All I can say is keep swinging. No matter what. When you can't sleep, be online looking or reviewing your resume. My thoughts are with you, good luck. Kevin
  20. Just a heads up I think they're skipping December due to it being the weekend before Christmas. However the last match was rained out halfway through and there's been talk on Calguns that they might try a Dec. match if there's enough interest. I wasn't there but I guess the rain was so bad that the last guys almost didn't get out of the canyon. Keep an eye on the X3 thread on Calguns.net for the updates or x3multigun.com. Kevin
