  1. All the best with the new machine
  2. Gary, Could you provide the purpose and objective of this Provisional 1911 Single Stack Division. It would help to provide you and other BOD members with focused input.

    MOR scopes

Bruce, Yes . . . this year's MOR winner (Tate) won using the HV reticle and scope. He let me try it out and it is the way to go. What do you want the scope to do for you? If its going to be used for MOR then the HV would be a wise choice. The best of both worlds would be the Leupold with the HV reticle. I think its worth the extra cash outlay. Mig

    XM radio

Once you start listening to XM Radio you won't go back to commerical radio. Got XM back in the summer and just really enjoy it. You'll be very happy with it.
  5. The more the spring is compressed and used along with the use of light gease will lessened the spring noise.
  6. Easy, use a CR Speed. I never felt comfortable with my open gun in a 011 or 012 after it fell out for the 3rd time, so I chunked it for a CR. Had the same problem and made the same fix . . . CR speed is the way to go.
  7. Only 2/10ths - More flatter . . . .
  8. Vince: Thanks for the goodies .... U Da Man! BE're: Good to faces to the names and meeting everyone. Mig
  9. Excellent match and very good staff with top-notched adminstration. Dave, Larry and George did an outstanding job. It would be hard to top for next year match.
  10. Bear1142, As we talked before on this, that would be the ticket. The only thing I would add would be a dot in the center of the main crosshairs.
  11. Also just returned from Area 5 3G and those guys did one fantastic job. Good stages and friendly staff along with an outstanding squad makes this match worth adding to your calendars for next year. Thanks to Carl and crew for an outstanding job.
  12. Roger, The article was fine and informative and thanks for writing it. Now spend the energy for GA State this weekend and good luck Mig
  13. Bear1142, Spoke with you at the match on this and feel this system would have merit and should be explored.
  14. The MOR event, for the lack of better wording, was a clusterf@@k. There were problems from the beginning with the total lack of support from the match organizers to the stages and to RO support. I won't go into the details in this forum but several people heard an earful at the match. Hopefully MOR could back on track and if this was representative of the future of MOR then it should be abandoned right now.

    Major 9 open mags

My experience is in in-line with CPTY1 and TeamGE in regards to the STI tubes w/ spacer. STI tubes w/spacer and Grams new format follower & spring and Dawson +1 pads work great. SV tubes are expensive and harder to come by.
  16. RS, If you're using the AR for MOR you would need to disable the gas system and the buffer/spring in the buttstock as well. There are much better alternatives available. Mig
  17. Cy, Don't try this without the upper receiver block. Talk with Bear1142 - he has the receiver block and could help you out. Mig
  18. Disassemble only when you're having problems, they're a bear to reinstall. Normally, just add one drop of oil and work in and you should be good to go.
  19. As Troy pointed out, multi-gun stages are illegal under the current edition of the USPSA rulebook. Since the next edition of the rulebook hasn't been released yet, it would be irresponsible and reprehensible for the sanctioning organization (USPSA) to disregard its own rulebook for the National 3 Gun Championship. Does this indicate this National championship would be a non-sanctioned tournament? I surely hope not. Most, if not all, of the major matches and tournaments have always published the courses of fire. That information should be made available the competitors as soon as possible.
  20. Dminor, Just posting what Mike V. sent to me dated 05/07/04. Yes, I'm still very concern .....
  21. Sent Michael Voigt an email on the match and his reply reads in part, "As far as the rules are concerned, the BOD is working to get all of the details worked out very soon (hopefully by the end of the BOD meeting in Kansas City this weekend). As soon as the decisions concerning rules are made, we will post them to the website and also notify all of the 3 Gun competitors." I'm not sure what website he stated but I haven't been able to find anything related to the match. Still concern . . .
  22. Cy, Before changing springs or adding anything, have you changed ammo? Different ammo may equal FTE problems especially with the steel case ammo available Generally, I change the spring as needed or when I feel the extraction force is not there anymore. It's more of a "feel" thing. Wolf extra power springs work and you could buy a lot of springs for the price of Dfender ring, IMHO. If you're going to be at the Area6 3G - hook up with me. I have something much better and cheaper than the Dfender ring. Mig
